Bring back the green tabs. If there ever was a surefire way to get buy in, make some flare.

Command time to synch with readiness does seem like a really good idea. Interested to know what downsides might be, but on the surface it makes sense. Compo 2 (from what I’ve seen) essentially does this informally.

Who can’t lead or maybe even just as importantly, don’t want to.

I can get behind most of these, really all but one, but I won’t say which I disagree with until I find my spitter

Which is why he never went. Makes sense.

(This should not be construed as AGSU slander. We need to wear them more)

End forever wars because optempo is too high but also let’s focus on lethality which means more CTC rotations, but that’s also gonna be tough with budget cuts, but also also let’s wear AGSUs like WW2 days when the army was real…but also we are too garrison focused…but also….

There’s no coherent strategy on any of this. It’s just platitudes. It’s just “I’m signing a memo to get rid of everything stupid in the Army. For too long there’s been stupid stuff but now, we are done with stupid stuff” And everyone claps

Imagine you’re a career OSD guy trying to explain to the SecDef about Georgian elections and the potential fall out in Tbilisi and he turns to his Senior Advisor who was his PSG in 08 and he says “this reminds me of that convoy we did outside of Baghdad…” What a time to be alive!

100%. I’m so grateful for BAH and my compensation overall. It’s just funny when I hear peers say “I only make X” and it doesn’t include the additional 3-5k tax free they make a month. Yet when they go to civilian sector you better believe they say they are looking for X$ and that includes their BAH

Growing up in a steel town (RIP) - I always saw working class used to mean someone in the middle class who did a manual/physical job. The idea was that working class jobs should earn you a middle class lifestyle.

With the caveat being it’s not taxed. To not include it in your overall compensation or income is absurdity. But it’s fun to be a martyr too, so it’s tough…

It’s like when people feel the need to say Hitler was a great speaker as if they need to prove objectivity

Somalia is home to the best steak sandwiches in the DOD - not a hard feat but damn they were good

At first I read this like they were trying to say it was security cooperation lol…wrong DSCA

Me: they (foreign partner) really don’t like religious stuff in their ceremonies Army: but the chaplain wants to do a prayer, do you remember any from ceremonies you’ve been to? Me: no, I’m telling you they aren’t allowed to, they honestly find it weird we do it Army: okay we will just find one

I also feel like the fact his brothers both are serving in senior DOD positions is underreported

Dude, have some respect. They deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Especially in Africa where the biggest discriminator of who/what gets attention is based on top level willingness. Just not a lot of downtrace units capable of making unilateral decisions.

The legal term for this is “whoopsies”

They are recycling the “if you don’t support the war you don’t support the troops” stuff of the early 2000s

It’s just such a common trope to make fun of Kuwait and their MWR activities. Wouldn’t bet my life he ordered it, but definitely within reason to think he talked to someone about it.
comment in response to post
Nah - as a Guard guy he definitely loves talking shit about Kuwait deployments and salsa nights bc he feels like he did a “real” deployment.

This is so stupid…*sees RSTA*….well actually…

Another huge win for populism and the working class.

Agreed. Even my “normie” conservative friends are just so deep into the rabbit hole. When tariffs first came out, a friend said he didn’t want to debate “conspiracies” when I said it wasn’t reciprocal tariffs it was a formula to try to get rid of trade deficits. Like what can I say to that?

The point of soccer is to score goals. Who is to say we can’t use our hands? It’s silly to deny ourselves the ability to score more goals when that’s the entire point. Same thing he’s doing with due process.

This only makes sense once you realize he’s just not a good person. Too much thought has been put into whether fox was kabuki theater or really believed the stuff they said. He’s just a shitty dude.

Ahhh I see your favorite podcast genre is “comedian who is just asking questions about incredibly serious topics while complaining that comedy is dead due to society being woke” as well.

At first they came for isolationist crank jobs whose only experience is in an organization they claim was terrible but I did not speak up….
