And as long as I’m stockpiling tools I use to think about clods like Weiss and William, might as well reskeet this clip of Andrea Long Chu talking about the “Far Center.” This fuckin describes my former friend to a T

Democrats again refuse to be anti-corruption, just as they did with Menendez in New Jersey. They will always put their party before the welfare of the country.

The supreme court handing Bush the election in 2000 instead of letting Florida count the ballots was essentially a coup.

That's awesome. I usually just summon other players to power through these games, which is basically an easy setting.

Nice! A couple of years ago I bought Angel Dust again on CD for the car and love to crank it up on road trips. Such a great band.

Good tune from an underrated lp.

Yep, underemployment is a thing.

I made that mistake years ago when I tried a reread of Weaveworld thinking it was Imajica.

Whoa, more shoegaze-y. I love this band so much and can't wait to check out the full lp.

That's exactly the way to do it.

Adam Scott is way overused in tv and film.

How many Democrats voted for Bush in Florida? Answer: 308,000!! Well above Nader's total. Take ownership of your party's failures instead of blaming others.

This is my absolute favorite John Carpenter film. It's the best Lovecraft and King in Yellow movie we'll probably ever get, though it's not an adaptation of either.

Thank you. We've made some large purchases recently as you suggested but might revisit the issue to see if there's anything else of importance we didn't already cover. Thank you for your response and I look forward to your coverage of this tragedy.

Thank you very much. Where should the little people be placing their money to help mitigate the collapse?

Can you explain what's happening?

Since 2000 Bush V Gore, the Supreme Court has made it known that all rules are based on the whim of the Republican Party and their donors. People trying to say otherwise are completely full of shit.

The rules have clearly changed since then.

Apropos of nothing here's something Stuart Gordon tweeted at me in 2017 (in response to a goodhearted but stupid @flophousepodcast.bsky.social -themed joke I made about Castle Freak)

Nobody is coming to save us. We'd better start organizing if we're going to stand a chance.

That's the only good part of this swift decline. At least the rest of the world won't have to worry about us after we self-immolate.

You only have to look at any major city where Democrats are completely in control to see that this is true. If there were no Republicans, we'd still get fascism shoved down our throats by these folks.

I agree with that assessment. Cops are not particularly depicted in a positive light.

Biden is a fucking idiot for not appointing him Attorney General and sicking the Justice office on the right wing of this country. He actually had experience in this area.

This is something that people seem to miss. The media has been horrible at keeping voters informed, even regarding major events. You can't have a working democracy under these conditions.

All they had to say was students and faculty have a right to protest under the First Amendment and they couldn't even manage that. Instead they used the worst characterization of the protestors and supported violent efforts to quash them by both the police and the opposition.

If Trump was a Russian plant, why is he publicly talking trash about Putin and didn't make that phone call before taking office to force a peace between Russia and Ukraine?

Suck it, democratic hall monitors. Bernie has been an utter disappointment, but he's better than all of your establishment politicians put together.

Like what good has Cuomo done? He sexually harrassed his staff, falsified covid deaths in nursing homes for his donors and propped up republicans in the state of New York. Dems, he's your guy? Do you have any standards at all?
