This is hugely frustrating Barbara! They would benefit enormously from your wealth of experience and careful thinking on this issue.

There aren't many authors that make me laugh out loud, but Wodehouse's Jeeves books have always had that effect. Marion Keyes also a very funny writer (Rachel's Holiday the best). Over My Dead Body by Maz Evans, is the funniest thing I read last year.

Confirmed audible addict here but I was amazed at just how much is available via Libby.

Thanks, Chris. It was my only resolution last year. Keeping it going this year.

I also saw it at the Royal Festival Hall the first time but we had stall seats near the front, which is essential for the full experience. Very lively audience at the Harold Pinter yesterday for the matinee.

There are a lot of classic elements for sure. The first time I saw it, a friend had arranged the tickets and the whole thing was a surprise so I came with no expectations which probably helped. This time, I had my daughter with me who found the whole thing hilarious which added to the charm.

I've been wondering about a wheeled backpack or laptop case as my bag has got very heavy, particularly if carting laptop, plus iPad and second screen. Any recs? Do worry a bit that they can be a target for thieves if obviously thought to contain gadgets.

There is scope for EA in many cases of post-separation disparity in sharing of benefits/burdens. It can make a big difference (e.g. excluded party also paying the mortgage) but in a lot of cases it all nets down to not a lot. Occupation rent outside the cohab context is also now more constrained.

Certainly in the usual one party stays and pays the mortgage and the other party vacates scenario where any occupation rent and mortgage credit will net off. Definitely more interesting and relevant outside the Cohabitation context.

Much as I enjoy a spreadsheet, I totally agree that a broad brush approach is often the way to do.

Often when you net mortgage instalments and occupation rent off against the other, the gains are marginal at best. Multiple properties over a longer time frame a different kettle of fish.
