I know this side of town much better, even though I usually did not stray this far south. I know where my resources are, I know the area just north of here like the back of my hand and have walked all over the general area. I have had two apartments out this way also so I just know people.

And if you enjoy 3D, that's great. I just think it's overstayed it's welcome by a LOT.

The movements are smoother, sure but the art choices on 3D animated shows are just. Annoying. Like idk why it mimics 2D animation when it does not need to. They had a chance to make a distinct choice and set a trend but it's just 2D art but like worse.

I'm also 100% going to still act like an american in that I will deep fry anything I can and cover it in cheese or sour cream or maybe both or if it is a dessert, a scoop of ice cream.

You're gonna need to turn part of your brain off. It sucks. Trust me, I know. But they've chosen their side. We must fight for the innocent first and foremost. They have chosen evil, even if they were tricked into it. You can either let evil win or you can fight.

I think these fundamental differences of our culture are at the root of these disputes. I do think you are in the wrong in this. If you engage in that sort of behavior, go to therapy. Figure it out. I hope you can do better.

Being different can be so much fun. And it harms no one. And if you conform to the majority, that's okay but you're bound to be different in some small way. Why hide that? Why not be yourself?

And much of your culture is based on conformity. Conformity has always been a topic of contention in America but since about the 70s or so, it's not been a very popular concept. Being different and unique has been celebrated here for several decades. And I like that about us.

You were taught that britain is great lalalalala shut up anyone who has even half a bad thing to say about us ever. They tried that with us. But America is very large and we built our culture on being untamed. They find that more difficult to control. England is not a large area.

But you haven't have you? You weren't given an early opportunity to understand that life is nuanced and often, world leaders commit atrocities and that is not necessarily always a reflection of the people who inhabit that land.
I believe you were taught what you claim American children were taught.

We understand that. Do you think I am never ashamed of things that America has done or is doing? I'm ashamed of the state of my country right now! But that doesn't stop me from feeling a sense of pride in the American spirit. Because I've been feeling those simultaneously since childhood.

At what point in class as a child did a teacher sit down and have a discussion with you about why your country taking control of every other country methodically for centuries was wrong? People were killed and tortured in your countries name. Does that make you feel shame?
comment in response to

I think the real issue is you're eep down ashamed of what your country has done but unlike us, haven't had the childhood experience of being confronted with that early on. We're at least taught that slavery happened and it was wrong when I was a kid.

Some of you (obviously it's never all of you, some of you actually are decent people but loads of you online seem to just not be) seem to genuinely hate us for existing. Like yeah, we have our problems, but at least most of us can accept sometimes being the butt of a joke.

You love making fun of us, but the monebt we poke fun anywhere NEAR your direction, you go apeshit on us. Why? Do you think you're the only ones allowed to make fun? We're approaching this civilly and in a friendly joking manner but it's increasingly clear that for many of you, you're not joking.

We own who we are and laugh at ourselves. We poke fun at ourselves all the time. If you made fun of us for liking monster trucks and fake wrestling as an excuse for theater, we'd laugh along but you don't. You immediately go for the jugular and make fun of dying children.

Yes, beans have some protein too but it's mainly carbs. An over medium or even scrambled egg on toast is actually amazing why not that?
In general, why do you still eat like you might not get to eat tomorrow? You get ragey that we're fat but y'all ain't any skinnier!

I've had food cooked in a homeless shelter that blew beans on toast out of the water. We use spices here. We enjoy spices. If you hate that so much, that's okay but trying to force us to like a lack of herbs and spices isn't reasonable. Also, why BEANS on toast. That's carbs on carbs.

Like bro sorry but putting ketchupy beans on hard toast is not top tier cuisine. I'm sorry you were told it was from birth but I've had all kinds of excellent cuisines all within my hometown and beans on toast is the pinnacle of your culinary experience? Really?

Honestly at this point, I hope we are Canada's next province. I have experienced great pride in being American but I cannot feel proud of what we are at this moment. Some of us having been fighting against this from with the whole time and it's been a hard battle. We need help.
