i don’t think she did at first, but as the campaign has progressed and there’s been a whole prophecy about her and her group and things keep happening that can’t be coincidences, i think she slowly does come to believe in it!

this question spawned a whole discussion and an AU about how emi could become evil if she was raised by the bbeg (a family member), not to mention the eldritch horrors connected to her so. yes. yes she could be evil

hate means snarky comments and sometimes anger, but it’s almost always a defense mechanism for emi :’) it’s dangerous and has threatened to destroy her relationships more than once, but it’s easier to push people away when they already don’t like you, right?

love means loyalty to one person above all else, who she trusts completely and she’d give up the world for (although she hasn’t necessarily found that person yet :3)
she also has a deep love for her family, her people, and her adventuring party in a familial sense :D

she’s known she’s an important person since childhood; her mother is the leader of their village & her grandma is an archdruid. she just didn’t think she, specifically, would become important independent of her family if that makes sense?

…oh boy what HASN’T she lied about /j if anything, emi tends to lie by omission! she didn’t tell the party that she had become a cleric at first, nor did she tell them about a vivid hallucination that was a precursor to an attack on her home lmao

not very much at all! what she says and what she means are often two very different things. she tends to be very closed off towards most people and has only let the mask slip a few times, to a few people, recently…

as someone who lived on her own in the wilds for five years, i’d be inclined to say that emi relies on her instincts heavily - but she’s also prone to acting based on overwhelmingly strong emotions c:

she follows sehanine, the moonweaver! she also places a strong belief in family, both blood family and chosen family :3

avenge her father’s death, rid herself of the curse of the great eye (eldritch horror being thing that has a grip on her! whoops!), and support the goals of her party members :)

wasn’t sure about this one myself so i asked a few of my friends - she tends to be a voice of reason/a pillar within the group who’s very stubborn about her beliefs & makes them consider different perspectives :3 it’s hard to put her in one specific role though!

i wouldn’t say she necessarily has a favorite, but as a player i think her relationship with ardric is interesting! they’re parallel characters who clash often :) also, her relationships with the girls (ave, advena, & olivia) are interesting & i wanna explore them more :3

initially, emi wanted to experience life outside her sheltered home village, and then Things Kept Happening and now they’ve discovered they’re part of a prophecy uh oh-
she also feels a sense of dedication and a debt owed to this group. she can’t leave yet :’)

well it all started in a tavern (no, seriously) -
the group formed by taking odd jobs for the local adventurer’s guild, and she’s stuck around ever since!

emi uses basically only magic, and as mentioned in the last post, she specializes in fire & healing magic and fighting from a distance! her healing magic can be described as feeling almost uncomfortably warm in one’s chest c:

among the party, she specializes in fire-based and healing spells, especially scorching ray and cure wounds! she only uses conjure animals in times of severe danger. notably, she was the party’s only revivify user for a while :)

haven’t really thought about this one but she does tend to pet her wildfire spirit, a fiery cat named miko, when she’s not doing anything with her hands! he sits on her shoulders most of the time :)

this idiot (affectionate) is emiliana of the ashari, or emi for short! she is a fire genasi druid of wildfire/twilight cleric and daughter of the village matriarch. she can have emotional outbursts at times but is deeply loyal to those she trusts :)
