i like that idea, you could give users the ability to draw lines or maybe arrows between windows, like a life sized knowledge graph!

clay is an interesting idea, given its softness. i like the system that a lot of professional programs (like unity!) use, where you are able to detach a window and move it to maybe a different screen. imagine being able to do that fluidly in an xr environment

how would you do it instead?

speaking of, @poiyomi.com, is there a reason why the ltcgi toggle is off by default? does it have a performance impact in non-ltcgi worlds?

just the question, what if your avatar supports both, ltcgi & light volumes, what would it look like then? probably depends on the shaders implementation
comment in response to post
avatars that support light volumes are completely black atm, if i can have them respond to the screen (even if its just single colour) that would be perfect.

right now, i don’t have any light probes in the auditorium, which is why avi’s are pretty bright in there-which is something that always bothered me honestly.

perfect-will look into that i don’t really wanna use arealit either
comment in response to post
yea, strongly considering switching to it too, although i heard about light volumes supporting video players? been meaning to look into that, but had a busy week at work

same for ltcgi support on avis, that’s been out for almost 2 years at this point, and still barely anyone has it šŸ™ƒ

looking forward to it :D

@weaselvr.bsky.social also reminded me of the importance of prototyping, its quick and easy, a less daunting task, and will help to *just get to work on the thing* - plus, it’ll make work on the big thing a lot less daunting & quicker afterwards

i finally talked to friends about this and realised how good it is to just write all of these thoughts down, pull them out of my brain into a conversation and into obsidian (the notes app i use, highly recommend btw)

it’s insanely overwhelming, which leads to most things never going past the ā€œidea in my headā€ space, where they will continue to linger and overwhelm me until i forget about them
