2) Limit multitasking—I focus on one task at a time to reduce overwhelm 3) Incorporate physical activity—I make time for movement, whether it’s a workout or a walk, to boost my energy and clear my mind (2/2)

I think as artists we sometimes have to change things up to keep it fresh! But yes, bills are a big factor in decision-making :D

That's so interesting, thanks for sharing! :) It sounds like such a huge undertaking to write a book, I can't imagine how to actually make the decisions that go into creating a first, finished draft. 🤯

It's super hard to achieve this level of realism and I don't get into any kind of flow with it, because I'm constantly problem-solving, needing to step back to get a fresh eye, stopping to get new references, pushing myself more, getting feedback because I can't see the wood for the trees anymore.

With my new vibrant flowery gouache art I'd say it's about 70% the process, and 30% the end result. I'm completely in the flow most of the time! :) With my fantasy art definitely 90% of the happiness come from the end result, since the process of painting it makes me completely miserable.

Ohh that's a beautiful interpretation. I'm totally gonna steal this :D

😂 I like it most when I don't have to puree it myself

Thanks Caro, the tide has already turned, so I'm enjoying creating these bright flower paintings right now. If you wanna talk about it, sure, shoot me a message anytime! :)

Haha, thank you! These roof tiles almost drove me crazy and I constantly had to remind myself to simplify or else I would still be sitting there painting every little detail 😂

Okay, so it's more like a mindset trick :D It's secret until I want to show something from it.

That's really motivating somehow :D

I'm still working on that 😂 I'm generally very bad with household chores, they seem like such a waste of time for me :D I do love a tidy house though!

Thank you so much, Patricia! I's sad to hear how many brilliant artists are working through burnout. I wonder if that's always the prize you have to pay.

Sounds like a valid method :) Glad it works for you!

Good luck! :) I needed a few years to figure that out :D

Yaaaay! That's GOOD.

Haha, I feel you. I drew characters for so long that I needed to do a 180 and now paint landscapes for a while. :D
