He said 20% of the savings to give back to people. Their own highest estimate comes up to $16B (they have proof of $7.6B) 20% of that is $800M which divided equally among 185M taxpayers comes to: $4.32 per taxpayer.

Nice to see it's not a feeling felt only in Florida

Sadly, he's currently the sanest republican in the Senate.

They're happy as can be. So long as liberals are miserable they don't care if the whole country sinks into the ocean. Not sure why they hate us so much

You're giving Americans *way* too much credit if you think we learn from bad experiences

He heard that somewhere. Only a matter of time until those two start fighting

The government has no built in system to ensure that those without money can enforce their rights without being sponsored by someone rich. The closest thing that exists today is perhaps the ACLU. Otherwise, you're really left to the mercy of the rich to even cash the check America writes

True, but in that way they were the tech bros of their time. They built a system that empowered those with money but no high birth and for the average American even the rights given by the constitution were meaningless without access to money

At least not transformational for the average American. The average American merely traded one ruler far away from a multitude of rulers nearby.

Those people weren't the magical geniuses we're taught in American propaganda class. They didn't come up with anything new or special, just tweaked what the Greek and Romans had done to build great empires. Nothing about the American revolution was transformational

Hope? Hard to find 😞

The House of Representatives has 218 Republicans and 215 Scarecrows the way Democrats would paint things. Somehow Republicans can govern from the minority but Democrats might as well not come back to Washington until 2026.

You're giving America way too much credit lol

Yeah but don't blame communists for that lol he's all capitalism

Calling it a DEI halftime show is a massive self own since the point was to be seen and be talked about and *checks social media* that's exactly what happened. DEI works right once again.

Lol republicans shut down the government left and right and never pay any political price + force democrats into concessions. Dems do concessions before using any political leverage and then say there's nothing they could've done.

Missing just one stage, the inevitable stage when they all wind up dead or back in hiding

I actually agree. We need to be graceful as the adversaries of the past can become the best allies of the future. Ask Japan and the UK

Those are the same braindead chimichangas that elected Gaetz over and over again. Don't hold your breath, Florida never fails to disappoint

No no no, he can't be going to hell, that's where I and the rest of the heathens are going. Send him to heaven with the rest of the christian blowhards

And he survived?? Dammit, do better!

They probably need to wait for president Musk to send them the unlock key for the ransomware he installed on their computers

You know nothing coming out of Florida is any good. Not even the oranges are any good anymore, build a wall around the state and preemptively impeach any floridian from public office. I say this as a floridian.

I mean...it's a little hate too lol

That's all the choice we ever have, no candidate is perfect. Even many who supported Washington and the Continental Congress did so less because they thought it was the best choice ever and more because the other choice was facing a furious British Empire. They picked the lesser of two evils.

Well, you know, everything sounds worse when it comes from a woman...and a black one to boot. This whole time people protested Harris not being strong enough against Israel as if the other option wasn't Netanyahu's bff
comment in response to post
I agree.

The fact that it's not a hill to die on is not the point, the point is that it's being done illegally. Emmanuel and Axelrod are missing the point entirely. Whether people care about USAID or not, getting rid of it legally is the only acceptable way
comment in response to post
That's not the point

They already warned us ahead of time and we voted trump in anyway

Good, America didn't learn by the book, now it better learn by the stick.

And somehow i don't hear the republicans complaining about eggs anymore.

We knew that from way back when Clarence Thomas was elevated to one of the highest offices of the land despite Anita Hill's testimony. You can stomp women to a pulp and still be confirmed by the Senate

Staaaaahp lmao

Apathy. Many people stayed home and the most irritating part is that many of the people howling the most now are the ones who stayed home back in November
