There are city and county level positions as well. Check runforsomething.net

Yes. Everyone is focused on "two years" from now, but there is an election somewhere in this country every week. Municipal and county positions! Schools! It all matters.

The ABA is a voluntary bar. It has no power of its own. What power it wields is soft power through organization, lobbying, and speech. The power to license and regulate attorneys is with the state bars and courts. People should be filing bar complaints against unethical attorneys.

I don't think he's an idiot, though. He's a graduate of one of the most prestigious law schools in the country. I think he's just evil.

Why say he "doesn't understand"? He absolutely understands. He's lying.

I'm mad it took this long for them to consider that maybe breaking everything was their plan all along(they even made it into a 900-page pamphlet)and they should have done this to begin with, but yes, more of this

We also understand context, situational awareness, and metaphor, which is why AI looks so stiff and weird and hallucinates objects that don't belong, and it is very difficult to give it "feedback" if it does something wrong. Choose human.

A massacre with the pen instead of the sword is still a massacre. The US insurance healthcare system tries to distance itself from the deed, but thousands of people like this suffer every day in the US.

I'm an artist. Last year, AI made me almost give up. It's been abysmal watching countless friends lose their jobs at game studios and film contracts to greedy decisions by manager types while a good portion of the public gleefully consumes AI as a shiny toy. I think you're right. I hope you are.
