And delete or lockdown your meta accounts. They will be the new Stasi soon.

No, it won't be like that. It will be constant spying and surveillance of your bank account, purchase history, activity via your mobile phone, medical info, and political donations. Think Orwell and start looking at ways to protect your privacy.

Palantir has been a DoD contractor as well as with the CIA, FBI, and DOJ for years now. They are currently in surveillance and data gathering tech worldwide. If you want to be really horrified, look up Project Maven.

Probably the big ass pool of whatever the hell the red stuff is and the pile of whatever the other stuff is. And I don't think any of it is good.

a bunch of these EOs are miller, 100%. Also... idk if anyone else thinks this but Stephen Miller looks like a guy whose version of "makes love" is making a woman lie in a tub full of ice and staying perfectly motionless 🦎

I grew up Mormon therefore isolated from most of Christianity; but the more I learn about history and different sects of it, the more I feel like Calvinism was a mistake

He's a eugenicist. He loves this. If you haven't listened to @iwriteok.bsky.social on Behind the Bastards' deep dive, everyone should probably do that.

It's not a radical new concept that it's dumb and cringe to be a bigoted piece of shit. Never stop pointing that out. Fear gives them power; ridicule gives them nightmares about their dad not loving them and that one time a girl didn't wanna fuck

When you're in an abusive relationship, an abuser often starts out as the picture of charm and safety. When they're sure you're invested, they start to withdraw, and mix hurting you with little scraps of affection to try to make you beg for their approval. They they gaslight you if you question.

Honestly? I think it's just a lie to string the base along that the jobs and money are coming back. They "love-bombed" their cult in the first term, now they're doing the withdraw/manipulate part so that people start fighting for approval. Classic coercive control/abuse tactic. It's all bad faith.

Worth mentioning: it's a cult. Cult members leave(hi I'm someone who left a cult)but they're not gonna do it because you're dropping citations. YOU care about those. They don't. They have to figure it out thenselves. Don't interrupt them while they learn touching the hot stove of bigotry burns.

And they're gonna use you calling them weird and gross against you, calling you the "intolerant" one and claim you're aggressive, violent and mean. Fucking LET THEM. They were always going to hate you. Responding to bigotry with anything other than LOUD, angry disgust and mockery normalizes it.

It's not anyone's job to prove it to them. Reason and logic don't work on fascists, because they don't believe in pesky things like compassion. Those things are important to you and me. This is the only "take" anyone should have: It's weird and gross to hate Americans being happy and having rights.

That's my home state! We've always been purple. We're sick of MAGA tourists moving in and ruining stuff because they watched Yellowstone and want to play cowboy.

What have YOU done while all this happens, and citizens are kidnapped by masked goons and denied due process? You need to resign.

The actual historical Nazis also believed in insanely stupid shit and conspiracy theories. "In conversation with him, one virtually feels that one is dealing not at all with him as a person, but with slogans, catchwords, and the like that have taken possession of him" -Dietrich Bonhoeffer

It Could Happen Here via @coolzonemedia.bsky.social just did an amazing piece on gamers turning on him. Most press is only vaguely aware that gaming is the largest/fastest growing entertainment industry on earth +a hotbed of recruiting for the alt right. I guarantee he is butthurt about it.

Call your reps. Doesn't matter which side they're on-- call them. They need to be hearing this from everyone. Investigations, not tepid questioning and beating around the bush.

Resignation? Not far enough.
No, no no. They need to be charged. They violated federal laws. These were not mistakes, they were crimes.

This isn't a "mistake"-- it's a crime. I was once engaged to a Naval officer. I saw some of his buddies get court marshaled over way less. Every single person who has ever served knows they would be in deep shit if they did this. Do laws not apply to them?
He's lying.

Yeah the zero tolerance policies at schools are a terrible aspect of this. Both kids will get punished even if it's one beating up another and the victim defending themselves. That and you can look at nearly every conflict in history and see that responding to aggressors with peace usually loses.

I had a bully from elementary school to high school; almost a decade of abuse. When I had finally had enough, I punched my bully in the face. I definitely didn't win that battle, but I won the war. They never bothered me or spoke to me again.

I listen to a LOOOT of history podcasts but BTB is the one I tell all my friends about. Learning how absolutely fucking unhinged the French Monarchy was (door scratching coke nails!?!) helps me cope with today's horrors. Like actually, people have always been a real problem
