Ukraine is not a member of NATO. Poland is, for example. By pulling out of NATO, Trump gives Putin permission to invade Poland and other NATO members. There has been no invasion of NATO members since WWII, and the alliance has been 100% effective. Not any more. Say bye-bye to Taiwan.

The death of NATO gives China free rein to invade Taiwan. US prosperity since WWII has been supported by peace in Europe and NATO. Appeasement of Russia will encourage Putin to invade other countries, which could lead to US troops fighting in Europe, with or without NATO.
