An old heart filled with the love of a full century of music and film, and beating along to the rhythms of basketball. Go Raptors!

I’d love to see a global general strike myself. Barring that, a country like Canada is going to need to use any measures they can. And we started boycotting US consumer goods months ago already as individuals.

We did not vote for Trump. We signed a trade agreement with the USA under Trump. That agreement is being broken and our economy is being attacked entirely unjustly and unjustifiably. And you want red states targeted. Republican policies have hurt red states for decades. How has that turned out?

My 80’s slacker self felt unfairly confronted by the idea of privilege. For a day. Then I realized that it was privilege that allowed me to be a slacker and upon gaining a better understanding of privilege I could be happy about indirectly offering opportunity for those without privilege.

Maybe the Serpent’s Egg. It’s been too long so I wouldn’t be able to offer a sense of what segment. But i imagine that it could be skimmed through to find something appropriate.

Definitely seeing that there is work being put in. And it’s paying off.

Thanks for the bluntness. I wasn’t sure if my distaste was just a sign of advancing age. It started with hating siri. Talking to a thing weirded me out. I go cold at the thought of people interacting with a silicon chip. What is the point if we have so little agency in shaping reality for ourselves?

He does look to be focusing on defense more than anything, which if true should be good in the longterm.

Hard to imagine a better addition that could help any team than a Marc Gasol.

I heard the Brady Bunch version last week and it’s been stuck in my head. So bad. That recording might have marked the beginning of our current civilizational collapse. Or at least the day the music truly died.

I overheard someone ask my mom if she heard that King was shot. The only king i knew was Babar. I was too young to know the great man or be affected by his death. But Babar getting shot hit me in a way that had me recognizing evil for the first time.

It’s everything that’s wrong with the world today. Even with a huge screen. If i wanted to be staring at the coach i’d buy a ticket and take my binoculars.

They don’t refer to tempo in car racing, so i can tell you that it does not align in the least.

It’s not fascism. It’s just applying the ALGORITHM to everything.

Noah Hawley is so good. Legion is something i still think about constantly. And it is what lead me to Fargo. I initially thought the idea of turning a great film into tv fare was bound to disappoint. And nothing Marvel has ever marveled me previously. In the end it all becomes Hawleyfied perfection.

Gotta be some way to link into Dougie’s youth as a drug dealer.

Yep. A definite upgrade on what looked like dried up streaks of dino pee.

I’ve been feeling that way about climate change for a while. It’s eerie. Everything seems to be about denying reality. Some maybe turn to that out of necessity in order to not feel crushed by the gravity. Some go that route to feel empowered and weightless. MAGA won by offering permission to deny.

Is Ulrich going to need to stop using such a wide stance while setting picks? Or am I just imagining things. I keep thinking he’s in danger of picking up fouls like his sixth tonight.
