She's organized opposition to a short term residential medical facility for the homeless in Uptown, opposed changes to Lyndale Ave to make it safer, showed up at the capitol with Carol Becker to agitate against parking reform statewide.

It has been epic. But it's reminder that working on local issues with people who share common values is righteous, fun, community-building work. We started out meeting in living rooms; we ended up recruiting 200+ people to join us and well, here we are. Truly--don't agonize, organize!

Just want to say that Sam, @zedotenator.net was a model parliamentarian today. Sam was part of a great team of facilitators who took what could have been a big, messy, melt-down Zoom meeting with 400 people...and ran it efficiently AND fairly. I'd recommend Sam to any group who needs their skills.

We had incredible organizing efforts, led by the people on the slate and so many good organizers behind them. And we all Worked. Damn. Hard. No hand-wringing or performative stuff. Eyes on the prize. Attention to detail, good procedure and healthy internal culture. Here's to good "insurgencies!"

The entire point of a political party is to fight for the things its members believe in. We shouldn’t have to constantly do this much work to get the Democrats to do their core job. People shouldn’t need to beg Democrats to vote right or simply speak out. The party has failed its core function.
