I would like the 80’s Stevie Wonder song “Part-Time Lover” A WHOLE LOT MORE if it were “Part-Time Kitty” instead. Anthem for occasional pet-sitters like myself and those visited daily… Thinking on the lyrics now…

The acid is kicking in, let’s just not leave the house if possible. Tariffs flying in all directions!!!

1) I was photo-introduced to a dog named Ruby last week! 3) Twit’s loss, Elkin’s gain 🙌

I love the title and I can’t wait. 🌺

Prayed! Absurd indeed. He ferments in his cess pool of malevolence and general self-consumed evil intent. The prayer of viruses.

How I feel under this regime.

That’s fair except that it’s not complete to assume that Cohen was speaking *as* Cohen in the song… likely not. Taking in the whole of the lyric…

Queen Elvis goes without saying. Beautiful Girl has one of your lyrics that cracks me up the most: “I’m a charming and dangerous guy- if you don’t expect too much it’s alright.”

I remember reciting Twilight’s lyrics to my near-fiancée one ragged night. I didn’t marry her, I took the savings from that job and hiked the Camino de Santiago in the fall instead. Walked to the Atlantic like a true pagan (most stop in Santiago) and the Galician October rains were very generous.

Raining Twilight Coast cemented itself doubly into me when you recorded it anew on Tromsø, Kaptein (which seems to be criminally out of print?). I was living in Houston, theoretically heading toward getting married, and working too much, toward planning for that.

Valerie I heard the NPR story on your work this morning. I made a contribution to the Troublemakers. All respect to you, f musk, keep up the great work, y’all are what patriots (and world citizens) look like. 🙌💙

Thank you. Agreed. There are no productive discussions to be had with Stephens, and it’s madness that NYT continues to give him this platform.

And going with the ageless Oil of Olay witch thing, she’s obviously full of a panoply of creepy crawlies, and probably avoids mirrors at all costs lest the reflection give it all away.

Oh but doesn’t she realize? If the folks who stormed the Capitol, attacking police and causing much damage in a riot that led to deaths were participating in a “day of love” as 45 called it, then those messing with Teslas are simply engaging in affectionate foreplay, a little light necking really.

It’s Gaslight & Soft Pedal City, on with the mental gas masks and bullshit detectors. And into the woods or the meadows or the waters as you say.

Seconding NY Doll! Personal request: Do Politicians Sing? And the People are still clamoring to hear Emma’s version of Marianne’s version of Working Class Hero…

I’ll only say that after we’re gone, there will be people museums all over the earth, in the form of all the buildings and stuff we leave behind, visited daily by all the critters who survive, not to mention vines, trees, moss… PS Happy Hitchmas Week!!!!!

In the movie version of Lauren Elkin tho, the character ever rifling through her pockets for these things could be a nice touch…

🤗 A boon! Bonus points for possibly superfluous things that you refuse to take out or that emerge briefly only to disappear again: faded movie tickets, secret talismans, could be nice to have a guitar pick in there.. I’m 99% certain I have an obsolete Mexico City subway ticket in my wallet, hiding.

Yes and do you suppose this same cowardly Biden official was among those who had the guts to tell Biden he should step aside? I reckon not!
