Isn't it? I just went to post a letter (because it's the 1920s apparently) and it was a lovely little stroll. Great wall art btw!

So apparently this was by design. They were intentionally surfacing everything, at least initially. youtu.be/e6QNQ4W_kKQ?...

I wonder whether that was an intentional change by Valve to allow all the games to have an initial 'chance'.

That is disheartening to hear. Anecdotally this Next Fest definitely felt different from others before. It seemed to be surfacing a lot more crap games and AI slop than I've ever noticed before. I have to say I browsed through quite a bit and didn't see Rift Riff once.

Awesome. I would certainly be interested in a video about it as I'm sure others would too!

I recall you mentioned previously that you got burnt out achieving the fidelity of Hollowbody. I'm guessing the taking it slower and tuning the art process is part of the plan to avoid this?

I was thinking the exact same thing, I'm sure it's never been like this before. The Steam pages are essentially useless. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come otherwise it'll be another nail in the coffin of discoverability.

Looks great. It feels like this technique fell out of favour which I find sort of baffling. A lot of old classics used it to great effect.

Same! I think I actually thought it was fictional initially and only years later realised it wasn't...
