🤣 I'm so glad this has come up for discussion here - was starting to think I was going mad for not believing it's the GREATEST SOLO OF ALL TIME EVER ETC!
comment in response to

I never bought that dismissal thing. Most people into rock (like me) that I spoke to always rated him. It's not so much a comment against his ability, it's more the obsession that's grown online since his death about that solo which imo is far from "THE GREATEST SOLO EVER" - it's OK, but that's it

I swear Bobby's videos are the closest YouTube gets to art. The Bezos one is incredible

I think that Prince gently weeps solo is one that non-musicians tend to rate. I'm a piss-poor guitarist and even I can see exactly what he's doing and thinking. He even repeats a bit (where he pulls off on the open string). Think he was more concerned with how it looked than what he played
comment in response to

So true. I liked Prince and he was obviously very talented but the praise for this solo especially since his death is way over the top. Keep seeing it described as the "best solo ever" - it's not even in *his* top 5

The whole "holy star" thing felt like a 14 year old's idea of what a clever twist looks like. The minute the star was shown in the briefcase you could script the ending yourself.

I found that strange when we went down the other week - tubes at rush hour were really quiet, no queuing, loads of seats etc

Think I did them at Peak before they smashed it at the Winding Wheel. Great days.

Bleep Bloop is pretty pricey but Bloop Blap will do anything you like for quick spray of WD40

So how come I saw you and @kellymolson.bsky.social staggering out of Wetherspoons at lunchtime then? 🤔

Problem with cars like the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe is they're all electronics - you need a scientist as much as a mechanic to sort them out 🔬

Has she any views on why the steering wheel isn't connected to the wheels? I'm no expert but it does seem like a design flaw

you're right - Little Tikes Cozy Coupe famous for their steering fluid issues

WELCOME TO DEHUMIDIFIER/HEATED AIRER BANTZ NIGHT ON BLUESKY HOLLY
Fun fact: my main role in our marriage is to check if wife has left her hair tong things on after she phones me from the car in a panic. Happens approx 6 times a week.

I shit you not I've been looking at those too (as recommended by @kellymolson.bsky.social)
There's a heated airer + dehumidifier sized hole in my life right now and it needs sorting

Was just looking at those! There's an arete 2 now which has WiFi and stuff but that seems a bit unnecessary 😄
Has it changed your life? Tell me it's changed your life.
In other news, the undoubted success of the inaugural #DehumidifierBantz on Bluesky has cemented it as my fav platform
