Conscription via the back door. I'm sure the jingoistic Gammonati will be peeing themselves with excitement over this but, really, it's a bloody silly idea from all points of view. The conscripts don't want to be there, the Forces don't really want them, and the tax payer doesn't want to pay for it.

I suppose it really started with the late, unlamented, Margaret Thatcher but, as far as 'Labour' goes, it did indeed start with 'Butcher' Blair.🙄
