It’s self-love and authenticity. I choose everyday to be patient, compassionate, and gentle with myself because I’m the only one living my life and creating the reality around me.

I recognized early on that their ignorance was intentional and lack of empathy was a byproduct of their birthright. My yt peers, in both classrooms and my career, are inherently blind to their privilege because as a race, yt people have no identity outside of not being black.

It comes down to manipulation and control but I don’t understand the need to find parallels between DV ending with loss of life and a political cult…
