Elon is using the old "It ain't mine" response to a woman who clearly has his kid. MAGA, this is your hero? Proper man right there.

"Shinking" "Right-Sizing" "downsizing" words used to obscure the humanity behind 10K people (families)losing their jobs. No, WSJ, appointing a goof with dubious qualifications doesn't make sense, and neither does firing 10K people. www.forbes.com/sites/omeraw...

Tiktok deal? What deal? There's an actual law banning TikTok that's been on the books since Jan. 19. The administration has just ignored it. Tiktok is still fully functional. Not sure what else TikTok would want. Is the POTUS planning to extort them too? Sell to Elon or else? 🤔

I think the underlying issue here is that high-ranking government officials are having discussions using mediums that allow them to escape public/legislative/ legal scrutiny. There will be few, if any, accurate records of anything to, say, foia or subpoena. Nothing to hold anyone accountable.

This is 1)for Trump's base and 2) for Pro-Trump media apparatus to use as talking points.
For everyone else is just a cheating-husband-latenight-gaslight. The question is how will Fox News and WSJ handle this. Both have shown the ability to be critical of Trump 2.0 recently.

Really dislike these red/blue maps. They are easy to understand, so I know why news outlets love them, but they distort political reality, which is intensely complex. Tiny blue dots in a sea of red or more red states than blue maps just don't tell the whole geographic/turnout, or demographic story.

It's not my custom to start off in conspiracy theory land. I'll leave that to folks on the other platform. Lol

Yeah, I'm going to hold fire on this one. See what comes back from the investigation. That said, the fact that so many people (on this platform) kind of all thought the same thing when they read this is pretty telling about the state of affairs in US politics in 2025.

Why universities (state and private), law firms (large and small), journalists (individual to corporate) labor unions, Doctors etc., have not formed various respective groups to show united fronts in response to assaults from this president, is just beyond me. Not sure what folks are waiting for. 🤔

The thing about extortion is that the extorter generally will not stop out of the goodness of their heart. If the extortee gives in once, they will never stop paying.

Where did they remove the names from? A website? A plaque? What list? Also, considering the serious nature of this claim, can we verify this? Picture? Comments from officials?

Yeah. I feel you. Well, what I was trying to express is that the popular GOP narrative that government employees are all of one political persuasion (i.e. Democrats) is clearly fantasy.

Important to note that nearly 40% of the federal workforce voted for Trump, which blows up the Bannon, Musk, Vought, Heritage theory of feds all being liberal deepstate radicals dedicated to furthering some evil leftwing globalist agenda. So many of his own voters are being hurt by this craziness.

Serious question: what did he expect? Impunity?
