i’ve never heard anyone say that uranus is their favorite planet. justice for uranus.

One piece episode 286 FYI

The fact he still gets booked for anything in the first place is the shocking part. www.thetimes.co.uk/article/davi...

Gaaah what a week for music. Moving from "running away" to "smile" to playing all the versions of "shortening bread".

RIP big dog

I've done this! Unfortunately in shame. DESY-Karaoke induced plane miss. Only time I've missed a plane in my life.

I slept really well last night which is obviously good, but it does result in me having a bit of a cotton wool brain for much of the day. exhibit A - I rendered a video on my computer then set off to the photocopier to collect it.

Went on a half term break last week to Germany with 12yo son, visited the Panzer museum, Heide Park for rollercoasters, miniatur wonderland in Hamburg, the DDR museum and the computer game museum in Berlin. Every German I interacted with throughout was kind and charming, so, vielen dank!

How America allowed Oxycontin to get to market, see the devastating effects and then allow the same to happen again with Fentanyl really should be talked about more

NSF grant terminations are disproportionately affecting underrepresented scientists. 58% of canceled grants have women PIs, despite making up only 34% of awards. 17% of canceled grants have Black PIs (versus 4% of the pool). Hispanic and disabled PIs are twice as likely to have NSF grants canceled.

Killing in the Name in the style of David Bowie. You're welcome.

We’ll see the scope of woke Pope cope.

I teach astronomy. Most of the time, the material is not relevant for a discussion that could be considered political. But sometimes it is. You better believe when I talk about the weak force and dark matter, I am clear about the role of misogyny in denying C. S. Wu and Vera Rubin Nobel prizes

Absolutely Incredible….A blurred photo of Earth? Nope, this is Titan, Saturn’s largest Moon captured by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. 💫💙💫💙💫💙💫😲💫

Watching the #democracysausage hashtag is the most beautiful slideshow. It's election day back home in Australia, and instead of little "I voted" stickers (no need to say that; it's compulsory), you buy a delicious sausage sandwich (with onions and sauce) to celebrate (and benefit the local school).

More than a decade ago I travelled to Dagenham and Redbridge with @hopenothate.org.uk to help unseat far right councillors in a local election. Knocking on doors it became clear that our presence was not required - they had been useless councillors. (1/2)

"Do you even own a black suit?"

I took an image of a comet with a nebula in the background last year around this time. I posted in the other social media to ask what it was and no one answered me. Perhaps it’s the same newly discovered comet in the store linked below. #Astronomy 🧪 My comet image taken: www.cbc.ca/news/science...
