Oh man, I didn't even think about that. I'm gen X and a school nurse. I should probably get my titers done. I've had to do the hep B series twice because my body was like "nah, we don't need immunity from that". I should probably check that too, actually.

School nurse here, can confirm. I have to have a medication administration form signed by a parent to give a kid a cough drop. But sure...I'm switching up your kids gender for them in my one-cot, former storage closet office during lunch recess. I used to be an OR RN, so I'm totally suspect.

No, they weren't. My ancestry is an unknown box of assorted crackers, and probably reining champs for savagery, unfortunately.

3 hours to go, and I just gave my dog the sleepy cheese so he doesn't come unglued because they've already started the fireworks. Lovely.

Just woke up from an unscheduled attack nap, going to have some coffee and continue attempting to teach myself crochet. My husband is out of town for the weekend, so it will be a pizza delivery dinner for me and the kiddo and comfort shows and sloth for the rest of the night!

I'm Jen and I should perhaps consider college is not a good fit for me, and have I ever considered becoming a park ranger?

You ever have that little tiny moment of clarity where for one brief second you get the tiniest glimpse of what human beings could accomplish, if we didn't have to spend so much time scrambling to survive? I don't know if it's encouraging, or heart-breaking.

Is that a petty comment? Yes. Do I love it? Also yes. I am in desperate need of some sort of goodness, and seeing those two go at each other would definitely give me a decent night's sleep for the first time in a couple weeks.
