Rob Portman in the background - all these feckless Republicans who slunk away - I won't forget it.

My anti-anti Trump dad said he believes DOGE will make SS better because there was so much fraud under Biden, and I think my jaw hit the floor. Defending Musk, the most reviled man arguably in the world. Why do I still think I can get him on my side. We will never get them on our side.

How long before they’re phasing out childhood vaccines for pockets full of posies?

Have they heard of cancer? FFS I have a hereditary genetic mutation that causes a rare cancer which I was diagnosed with when I was 17 years old, an otherwise healthy athletic teenager. Never smoke or drank.

I love this for him. And I say that as an Ohio State Alum. For my fellow buckeyes, here’s a palate cleanser

Right? I don’t ever want to see a Trump buckeye jersey, please dispose of it immediately.

As an OSU alum, I said of course this fucking guy ruined the only nice thing we had this year. And then immediately went to my palate cleanser.

The gap between knowing about WWII and the holocaust was way too big.

Currently finishing “The Demon of Unrest” by Erik Larson. Feels all too relevant, the hubris especially.

If Whiskey Pete had to admit, "yeah, I fucked up. I should never have included advance information on airstrikes on a signal thread, regardless of who is on it," he'd be admitting that @duckworth.senate.gov was right about him, which would be a fatal blow to his masculinity.

Same, girl. The only thing separating me from FL minimum wage with no benefits to being a licensed professional providing for my family of 4, are my degrees. Public school followed by Public university. I received Pell grants and just paid off all of my fed loans.

Honestly I have few examples of what I would like to see but to start, when @jasonkander.bsky.social took on gun issues and when @andybeshear.bsky.social took on abortion, both ads were highly effective.

I may have been the exception and not the rule but if we don't take these issues head on and let the right define us we will continue to lose

Was it that FL should just have its entire legislative code X’d out with a big red marker? It made this Floridian laugh. I'm also having to explain my random bursts of laughter to my coworkers, but as a Floridian I've learned at a young age that I'm always the butt of the joke.

I wish Sherrod had run an ad taking on the issues head on (trans or whatever) in lieu of that politically neutral American flag ad. Don’t placate, reframe the narrative and do it unapologetically. @danpfeiffer.bsky.social

Here in OH, both in ‘22 and ‘24, center-left candidates were allowed to say they agreed with Trump but never allowed to mention Biden. Appeasement doesn’t work. If it did, we wouldn’t currently have answering machines for Senators and that bearded fuck as VP. @danpfeiffer.bsky.social

Husted only has a DC office and it goes to voicemail. Apologies from OH where white conservative men fail upwards into a Senate seat once held by John Glenn, however briefly.

We did pass our reproductive rights amendment in the fall of 2023 at the same percentage of support as FL, but they didn't reach the 60% threshold. However, a national abortion ban will render our state right moot.

We have maga sloppy seconds Vivek waiting in the wings for who knows what, Governor? Husted's unelected Senate seat?

FL got to say good riddance to Rapey McForehead Matt Gaetz, whether by choice or not, but Jim Jordan is still climbing committee ranks.

Let's see what's happened since November... While previously FL was worse for having Scott & Rubio, OH voted out Sherrod Brown, a true union Democrat, for a sleezy maga car salesman while also elevating craven opportunist James Vance to VP.
