No. No. No. We do not need the Americanisation of sport.

I’m hopefully Elland Road will push us forward.

I think this is all great and sensible in theory. But what happens when no one you want wants to come. That's when you need to compromise or make deals. Where they are willing to compromise is the key factor.

No issue with having signed them. They haven’t quite cut it for us but could for someone else. That’s how signings go - some good, some bad, some blah. Let’s recoup and respend.

I’d be happy with Pope but probably requires them to get Trafford. If I was Burnley I’d probably be seeking some kind of swap + cash deal.

I’m not expecting much early in the window and if previous transfers are a guide then none of the rumours will be true either. Slowly and in private is the mantra. #lufc

He’s gone under the radar so far but consistently doing well. Hope they give him a full season.

Difficult but possible. If we can stay up one season it should get easier each year.

6 of the 10 that went up as champions stayed up so nudging in our favour.

Everton and West Ham have big summers coming up. Wolves also likely to lose Cunha. These are the clubs we need to be measuring ourselves against.

Always felt we’d regret letting him go so quickly but reality is that he was in a queue and had to play.

This will be a challenging window. We will need a long list because we will miss out on a lot of players. There are a few freebies to be had but if we are going to invest ÂŁ30m+ in a player it needs to be a player with top experience not talent in a minor league.

If Trafford and Egan-Riley leave it’ll be a long season for Burnley. Can’t see blades or Sunderland doing much. We need one more team to do badly. Possibly Wolves.

100% yes but this is unlikely unless he sees it like Delap. A chance to play 30 games and secure a bigger transfer with a low sell clause.

I think the club will want him in the Prem. We are going to be without the ball a lot and need our no.10 to do a lot of closing down. We certainly need additions in that space but he has a role.

Delap.

We have “good in lower divisions and might be good in premier league” in Piroe. We need a solid proven premier league goal scorer.

I don’t think wanting to replace Greenwood, Bamford or Gelhardt is surprising but we need someone to take them. I don’t mind Vardy or a Wilson as an experienced option but we need someone that will score 15 in 30 games.

It’s the hope that will get you.

This looks spot on. The summer transfer window will be a complex puzzle where it is more likely to settle towards the end. Hope fans can keep their nerve.

He has stated he wants to go back to Betis.

Good this has come out now after the season has finished but before the parade. Hopefully it will shut up all the clickbait pundits. I fear we will have a summer of tabloid nonsense to wade through. Farke knows how big the step up is and what is needed. Norwich didn't back him. We will.

I’m absolutely exhausted from feeling good about #lufc. Best fortnight in years. I don’t know to process Leeds and positive.
comment in response to

It seems to be just clickbait stories getting too much traction with 'influencers' and agent peddling bang average managers. I'm 100% behind Farke. He knows how big the step up is and investment needed. Norwich had no ambition to stay in EPL with him. Sold Buendia, spent no money.

Pretty fair assessment. Games will be very different next season and we need players who press and fit. I think we need to go big on a GK, AMC, FWD. then 4-5 solid experienced Prem players. God knows how we do that for 150m. I wouldn’t be surprised if Farke likes the work rate of Aaronson in Prem.

I thought Kinnears comments pre-season on needing to buy PL experience in the early years gives us a sense of direction they will take. Go big on a GK, AMC and FWD then bring in 3-4 PL journeymen. We we need a squad not an 11. đź’Ż behind Farke. Knows how big the step up is but will be backed. #LUFC

Always a good theory to get players in early but in reality if you want players from bigger clubs than ours then we are often in a chain waiting for them to bring in a better player. It would be nice though to have an early marque signing to show potential players where our ambition is.

We are going to get a whole summer of clickbait articles with no evidence.

If we had gone up last year, we would have come straight back down. It’s going to be so tough to finish above well established PL sides next season. We are one of about 5 clubs in a catch 22 of being too good for Champ but not quite PL.
comment in response to

You are probably right but we need to be ambitious otherwise we'll go straight back down. Ipswich probably didn't think they had a chance.

This what happens when you have a strong squad but never rotate. Squad loses match fitness and starters are exhausted. Same story two years in a row.

It does seem the owners are investing in the club which is what we all want but it’s so sad that fans now need to become financial experts. I want as to abide by spirit of rules but appears most clubs don’t care.

Huge couple of weeks ahead. We need to get behind the players. Different mentality chasing to be chased. Time for Gnonto to shine.

We have a great squad but not using it. Driving players into the ground.
comment in response to

I think we are missing something not using Gnonto and Ramazani more. Driving Solomon and James into the ground unnecessarily.

I have no issue with not getting a 10 in January or summer but it’s the position we need to go big on in the summer. If we had got Hamer we would still be looking for another one this summer.
