We have no striker though - Maric is invisible. I would honestly give Gytkjaer a few games because at least he is a proper striker.

A good second half but again without a striker we couldn't score. Fila looks truly terrible - no fight for the ball at all. Defence is much better though. If we had a striker I might still hope for a miracle.

0-0 HT. A tough watch. Lazio had 1 good chance, we had none. Sort of game you should be thinking you can win, but without a goal threat, it's hard to see how.

It also ignores the fact that the current Bond books are nearly all spin-off ideas with modern takes on minor characters - and they're apparently pretty good. I know, Amazon bad. But are they really any worse than most film studios?

Eh, can't get too worked up about it tbh. Only surprise really was Atalanta - Milan and Juve just aren't that good.

I think people have an rose-tinted idea of Bond because the films were often shown on TV on repeat here in the UK, so the character invokes a fuzzy nostalgia for people. There are many far better spy movies and shows now though.

I know it's sacrilegious, but I've always thought most Bond films are mediocre as it is. Not to say that Amazon will do a great job with them, but they are capable of making decent stuff.

It seems like Venezia really tried to frame their work as a cultural and community project over the past few years too - why would anyone bring someone like that into their own community

Yeah, it's difficult. I doubt there is a perfect platform in this regard. Sadly there are likely bad points to everywhere, but as you say maybe it is a bit better? Hard to know!

I saw... I wish they would just rule it out. And I would love to see a banner but after I've commented about it in a couple of Venezia FC FB or insta posts, the response has generally been "he's a good player, deserves a 2nd chance" (!) - I hope that's just a handful of morons
