China has offloaded $50 Billion in US Treasury bonds & limited further purchase of Dollars. Meanwhile, an anonymous buyer is purchasing European Bonds.

On the one hand it’s a great time to be a legal historian. Feeling so relevant! On the other: holy sh*t.

The administration is going to run into a legal bind. (1) As a baseline OUTER limit, the written agreement with El Salvador is limited to 1 year. (2) The text reads: "pending the United States’ decision on their long term disposition."

wow terrible look cant think of a worse possible shot in politics exceeded only perhaps by dwyer who at least didnt have to experience the aftermath

Happy Record Store Day, everybody. Make sure to shop local.

🚨House Republicans just passed a bill that would disenfranchise 70 million married American women. Under the SAVE Act, women who took their spouse’s last name and don't have an updated passport or birth certificate would be turned away at the polls.

“.. millions and millions of human beings screwing in little screws” lasted about a week. 🤡

This seems right, and all of this is WRONG.

Elbows Up! 🇨🇦

Keep talking about the Signal security lapse at the Pentagon. The media may have forgotten about it, but the voters have not.

Th judge should absolutely hammer the administration for this response. DOJ attorneys stonewalled the entire hearing today, telling her they had “no info” on all of her questions. Judge demands daily updates on the status of this case.

This is in a little town about 10 miles from me. I had to stop and take a picture. It’s symbolic of what is happening to democracy right before our eyes.

Per a source, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who has required that he approve all contracts over certain thresholds personally, has over 5000 review requests on his desk. Apparently he approves around 15/day.

BREAKING: the heroes at Susman Godfrey sue the Trump administration over the illegal retaliation against them They have more integrity in their pinky finger than these other firms that have been capitulating have in their entire partnerships And kudos to the team at Munger for representing them

I hate to say this, and it gives me the chills just to think it, but CECOT is on (and not a short way down) the road to Auschwitz.

In a new motion filed today, Luigi Mangione's lawyer, @kfa-legal.bsky.social, called Attorney General Pam Bondi's move to seek the death penalty “political, arbitrary, capricious, a breach of established death penalty protocol," and said it "has now indelibly prejudiced this process." #FreeLuigi

The real question is....when will we hold him accountable???

Ayep!

I’ve never seen a tweet that more effectively communicates how we got to this current situation

HUGE WIN: A federal judge just issued a lengthy TRO prohibiting the Trump administration from freezing federal funds to Maine over their policies protecting transgender youth. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

UPDATE: Trump Administration is trying to delay until Tuesday, April 15th, at 5:00 pm, to submit its affidavit in the Abrego Garcia case, despite the judge ordering them to do it by 9:30 am ET this morning. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

There are some very bad stories going around about the Mahmoud Kahlil case. The hearing today was before an immigration judge — which is located within the Justice Department. They are NOT a "federal judge" in the sense that anyone reading at least one nationwide story saying so thinks of it.

Before folks overreact to headlines about the judge’s ruling in the Khalil case, please note that (1) it was an immigration judge (IJ), not a federal district court; and (2) the IJ had no power to consider Khalil’s constitutional objections. This particular decision was a fait accompli.

Welp, I guess the bare-bones letter from Rubio was determined to be “facially reasonable and bona fide.” Note that this was largely expected; the standard is exceptionally deferential. This decision will be appealable up to the Board of Immigration Appeals, and then again to the circuit courts.

(AFP) - The mighty dollar is sliding sharply as President Donald Trump's turbulent trade agenda has battered US credibility in global markets and fanned fears of a self-inflicted economic downturn. finance.yahoo.com/news/trumps-...

Supreme Court's shadow docket order yesterday ordering Trump regime to "facilitate" his return from El Salvador left a loophole big enough to fly a plane through - and that's exactly what Trump DOJ is doing - slow walking as they "study" the decision.
