Significant aid, that is.

Obama told the Ukrainians not to resist or try to retake. Also refused to give aid.

- this increased profit has been paid by our European allies.
Since the fund is there to secure our futures, and we cant spend it in Norway, investing it in Ukraine makes sense. Morally, spending the proceeds from our war profiteering in such a way is the only right thing to do.

There are a few rules for how much of the profits from this can be used annually, but here are the main points:
- the fund currently is worth 20,000 bln NOK (1800bln €, 360,000€ per person in Norway).
- the war in Ukraine has increased gas prices significantly, netting Norway about 180bln€

Norway has an annual income from oil that far exceeds what can be safely used domestically without wrecking our economy. Therefore a sovereign wealth fund was created in 1990 for investing abroad. This would allow for saving and investing in Norwegians' futures without overheating the economy.

Indeed - and it seems like a political no-brainer. I can't imagine an easier way for the government to increase their likelihood of winning the upcoming elections.

This should be enough to carry us over until more longterm plans can be implemented. Also, Norway should be donating all gas profits above 20€/MWh (prewar price) for the duration of the war. None of these profits can be used in Norway anyway (inflation), but are a long term investment in our future.

Norway alone could easily bankroll a large part of this without really noticing it. The increased gas profits from the war amount to 2000bln NOK or 180bln €. Several parties are pushing for 1000bln NOK to be donated immediately. Europe should be applying the same pressure on us for our profiteering.

Would be more fun to invite him to three state visits before Trumps (so proud he was the first to have two)

I've been holding off for two years because we just don't have that much "spare" money. Finally signed up today for $5/week donation to Come Back Alive. Hopefully one of those "many raindrops makes a river" kind of things.
Fuck Trump.

Will be increasing my donations to Ukrainian causes going forward - hope everyone else does as well

Can only hope the massive condemnation of Trump and the US this has triggered, will result in a massive increase in European support (looking at you Norway)
