Brings to mind issues with using a commercial telco circuit on a network that’s a black box to the customer and just relying on an SLA and no audits - even with contractual obligations you basically have to trust the CSP. Even leasing a backup circuit there’s no guarantee it’ll use a different cable

Unfortunately he smothered her after suspecting her of infidelity, suspicion stoked by his subordinate. Part of the tragedy of Othello.

Also referred to as chrysolite - the term was originally used to refer to yellow/green-coloured gems in general, later to peridot specifically. Mentioned in Shakespeare’s Othello “If heaven would make me such another world Of one entire and Perfect chrysolite, I'd not have sold her for it.”

Osaka monorail female train crew wear a peaked cap, but JR female drivers wear a rounded hat rather than a cap.

The Akara corridor issue used to be very sensitive - Japan rep. practically spat out his tea when I mentioned it at an ICAO meeting. No landline between ATC in Shanghai and Korea, so communications had to be relayed via Fukuoka. All sorted now, but it took quite a few years.

Horst and graben more commonly associated with crustal *extension* - like Nevada’s basin and range landscape (Lake Taho is in a graben.)

Indeed they are - anything where you require a rolling printout of information which you can refer back to when necessary. Airline desks at Haneda airport still using Oki Microline series, when I peeked behind the counter.

Interestingly, Lewis and Pullman were both Oxford educated. However, Lewis was a lay Anglican preacher, while Pullman is an atheist and Humanist, and that’s reflected in their works.
