It wasn't poor planning on the Army's part. Lyin' Donnie just doesn't know -- or care -- how things work. He could have consulted with someone who does these things, and submitted to a schedule for the event he had in mind. But no. Toddlin' Donnie wants what he wants when he wants it.

They probably could have done a lot more if they didn't have to deal with the logistics of protecting streets from tanks. Even without that, there wasn't enough lead time to organize spectator events, arrange participation from other organizations, arrange sufficient PR and logistics, etc.

A spectacle like North Korea's would take a lot more than two months to plan and organize. A year, maybe. He got a pretty good parade, considering. And a chance to ignore yet another history lesson, this time curated by the US Army.
