The press need to start reporting multi-year budgets in a consistent manner, so that they can be compared. I know that some might be front or back loaded, but the way you've done it would be excellent.

As someone who did physics at university, I want to like nuclear, but as you say, the cleanup and long term storage hasn't been resolved. Also the build takes too long, and we've missed years of innovation. Now there's much less need, with renewables and storage being capable of handling most needs.

Excellent news, although Treasury groupthink may mean further delay "The Government is understood to be seeking permission to appeal to the Supreme Court." 😡

I like your 30 years too late comment. The last nuclear reactor to be put online was Hartlepool in 1989. COP 1 was in 1995, and renewables weren't as good then, so we should have been doing nuclear rather than more "dash for gas" in those years.

Yes corporations should be doing regular training and taking any reports seriously. I've reported a few e.g. driving their van at me whilst I was walking on the pavement. But I'm not confident about "their manager will discuss it with them".

Dundee?

I don't like the new Guardian layout - way too much white space.

We need more towing of cars that are parked dangerously. Austerity probably reduced council's budgets.

And the tiny church at Upleatham wasn't shown.

We need the full number of railway platforms for it's primary purpose, rather than "over-site development, which will deliver thousands of new homes, offices, life science blocks"

Thank you. I crossed the lakes on the road to the North. I didn't notice the London Loop sign. Another time.

I did a bike ride to see the HS2 Colne Valley viaduct, but couldn't get a good view I should have checked the best location before hand, most of the lakes along the valley don't have public access.

His good contribution was the, which room would you like to spend an hour in question. The one with an electric car or the one with the combustion engine running?

I really enjoyed the Linescapes book. I wonder if the new concrete medians are having a bad effect on nature permeability of motorways. www.goodreads.com/book/show/32...

I've seen this mentioned a few times, but can't find info about the changes. Could you add some links and preferably some crash test videos.

These kerbs that they're using in Camden, London are really lovely. They have gaps for water and wheels to use. The cycle lane is also very wide to cope with slower and faster cyclists going up the hill.

Lovely symmetry.

At least it is available. Also most people are comfortable watching sport from BBC Sport streamed via iPlayer, rather than directly on BBC 1 or 2.

Yes. The ordering of the removal seems to have come after the initial judgement.

Sad, as Lambeth's initial reading of the judgement was that the LTN would remain.

And all those lost Tesla sales could have made the number even higher.

I watched the Giro d'Italia's own YouTube channel - the last Km was available after about 20 minutes and the highlights about 50 minutes after the end.

I liked my slide-on rack-top bag when I was commuting, but that was in the days before needing to take a laptop everywhere, and before my Brompton.

Do we need to get the two of you some mediation / counselling?

I passed this blue plaque the other day "Dame Ida Mann was a pioneer in the field of ophthalmology. She was the first woman to hold the title of professor at Oxford University and was instrumental in the advancement and development of contact lenses." www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/blue-p...

I used to wear Lycra as starting fast at traffic lights was important for safety; now with good infrastructure I can ride slowly in my normal clothes.

Can the council sanction the business in any way? After all, the van will have been delivering to one of those premises.

The scene of the "besieged" restaurant, with its own "streetary" to the left, delivery van around the corner and the hire bike parking near the kitchen entrance.

When someone is doing work for you, it should be the homeowner's responsibility to ensure delivery and parking instructions. Fine the vehicle and the homeowner.

I investigated using segments and radius to show a portfolio and the relative value and profit/loss of the constituents. It seemed like a nice idea, but it didn't work due to perception and areas being much larger on the outside of the circle.
