I'm a Democrat and a Catholic who believes in the teachings of Jesus: love your neighbor, welcome the stranger, and take care of the poor, sick, and downtrodden. I strongly support the LGBTQ+ community and Ukraine, and adore former President Joe Biden.

Puerto Ricans are Americans! Surely they know that... right? (Narrator: "No, they do not know that.")

A reality show.... we're live in a freaking reality show, and not even a good one. Dear God, I'm going to miss President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump's nominees are openly saying, "let the peasants eat cake!" and MSM reporting right now is.... "Both sides disagree on who deserves credit for the ceasefire in Gaza." This timeline would be comical if it weren't so incredibly frightening. Is this what you wanted, median voters of America?

This makes me both want to cry and smile! Rest in peace to Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter: genuinely kind-hearted human beings. Hopefully they are reunited for eternity.

100% agree.

Happy New Year, Hal! Thank you for everything you do. As much as I wish Joe Biden were about to be inaugurated for a well-deserved second term.... we'll all get through this together.

✋ It's wild to me that anyone can say with a straight face that this incoming administration, bankrolled by the richest man in the world, is somehow "populist."

Sigh... I didn't have much interest in anything she had to say after I learned that she called clinical depression a "scam" and sickness an "illusion." Putting all of that aside, I can't name a single thing that qualifies her for DNC chair.

I started skimming and thought (too soon), "Wow, there's no mention yet of 'radical left lunatics!' Then... I skimmed the first sentence of the second column.

Yeah, I've heard John say--and I totally agree--that there are plenty of atheists who are better "Christians" (in the sense of following Jesus' teachings) than some of the loudest Christians.

This 100%. Not to mention, the same Republicans who want to impose their perversion of Christianity on the country vote to gut pediatric cancer research, school lunch programs, medical care... I love John Fugelsang's monologue on this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpS6...

I think she's right. It was more implicit before this past election cycle, but now that de-facto President-elect Musk has laid down his mark, the mystery is gone as to who actually is pulling the strings.

The fascinating thing is, for four years, the GOP will suddenly have zero issue with raising the debt ceiling -- or just outright eliminating it. As soon as Dems reclaim the WH (President Buttigieg 2028, maybe?), they'll suddenly start to care.

This reminds of the SNL skit where Bannon (dressed as the grim reaper) played the role of president. Except Trump had a much larger chair. If I don't laugh, I'll cry, so I might as well laugh.

With each passing day, I grow increasingly skeptical of the adage, "the arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice." This is not justice. This is heinous.

It's certainly a nice change of pace from the MAGA cesspool that is Twitter!

Wasn't Trump the one who said he had enough votes and didn't need Nikki Haley voters? Including the ~30% or so who wrote her in after she dropped out of the primary? Kamala was the only candidate at the top of the ticket to talk about unity, and she got a lot of guff for it.

I only started on Twitter earlier this year. It was fun for a while, at least when I learned to liberally use the mute/block button for obvious bad-faith actors and bots. But lately, it's pretty much been MAGA central and teeming with nazis.

Did they ever "vehemently disagree" with Tucker on air? I actually don't know: I don't watch Tucker. But, if I were a betting man, I would bet a lot of money that they did not.

Trump laughed with the world's richest guy about union busting.... Come on, Cenk.

I can get behind cutting defense spending. How about corporate handouts next? Start with Elon's government contracts.

Chris Coons seems to be a decent enough guy, but I think his statement is wishful thinking at best. I think 'DOGE' will be about as farcical, if not more, than we expect.

Very happy to see that you've on bluesky, Glenn! I'm a big fan of your excellent work. #JusticeMatters
