Next week is already spring break and also my college wants me to get my travel funding request for summer conferences in soon and...I can't keep up with the progression of time this semester. It has somehow only been 42 days since January 20, and also it has been 8 years at the same time.

I switched my undergrad major to math after having a long conversation with my philosophy professor where they pushed back on my mentality of picking a major based on career. It was half an hour of "if you hate it, don't study it" and "sure but what do you *like* learning about?" before I got it.

I'm trying not to be pompous and rude but my college is trying to set me up with a copyeditor and (1) they want to use someone from Marketing 🙄 who (2) told me that the I just need to send them my "Word file" so they can get started. A Microsoft Word file. For a math textbook. Struggling to be kind.

The smartest thing I did this semester was asking students to report what they're proud of in their weekly practice problem reflections. I *think* that it's been helpful for students to include this among their other questions of things they're stuck on, but it *certainly* helpful for me to read!

A teacher at my last job complained about not having accommodations for himself and I'm like YES ✊🏿 and then he went on to say that there are no accommodations in real life so students shouldn't get them 🤡
