Fair. But isn’t most of that success for kids (and their parents)? I’m speaking of animation meant for adults. Just posting my own viewpoint, which I concede is likely non-causal, for discussion.

Honestly, I think the problem with all the underperforming titles you mentioned is the same: simply, that they are animated. I know it’s not fair, but I’m one of many adults I know who have a guttural aversion to animated entertainment. That’s why the “Uncanny Valley” is… uncanny.

I had a similar reaction. Felt slightly fatigued and a very mild fever for one day after. Slept it off, then I was fine.

When young, we used to pretend we were rich and go for a single drink at the Ritz in Boston on New Year's Eve. I ended up taking a pee next to (then) Senator John Kerry in the men's room. I still adhered to The Code and didn't speak.

Just make it all a dream sequence! (Narrator: He was joking. He hates dream sequences.)

Thanks. It's fine. We don't answer the land-line unless we know who it is anyway. I'm happy to help let others know that this wording is clearly being used by nefarious parties.

Wow. I got a voicemail with exactly the same script, even though I am not an author! To be fair, I do have the same name as @mwilliamphelps.bsky.social, but a simple Google search would show that I am not him.

I'm going to offer the opposing view, with respect. The keeper was down and touched the ball with both hands. It's for his safety that the whistle gets blown quickly. Split second judgement call with player safety at risk. I know that the replay didn't show full control, but I get the ref's call.

I’m happy you are getting joy from birds! Personally, I can’t get past the raptor-in-the-kitchen scene from Jurassic Park. Birds creep me out!

Thank *you*! You are one of the main reasons I (and I posit many more) checked out this place.

“AI Overview: The Boston Red Sox lost in Game 7 of the World Series on four separate occasions: 1946, 1967, 1975, and 1986.” AND they lost one game playoffs in 1948 (for the AL pennant) and 1978 (for the AL East title, no wildcards). Several lifetimes of complete and utter heartbreak before 2004

I got really into Bauhaus and Brutalism and am lucky enough to live near some famous examples of them.

And Red Sox!! ( Boston and Philly have a lot in common; we hate New York, and we're frankly better than everyone else.)
