Yes. Supply and demand. When covid came, couldn't buy pasta or bathroom tissue. Now everyone wants weapons, which they should have done 10 years ago, but at worst 3 years ago when invasion happened, but it's only USA bailing out which led to action. Complete failure of responsibility or foresight.

John Hempton, who runs investment fund in Oz and is volunteer beach lifeguard, in his blog wrote he was in restaurant in States, and man there had heart attack, and John helped him. There were two qualified nurses there also, and neither helped, for fear of legal consequences if things went bad.

It seems to me Donald et al are pushing on a string, it's clear this is so, and they just keep doing t.
They're all utterly out of their depth, and it seems to me none of them are good men at heart, either.

It seems to me being anti-EU is an RU gain. If Poland is disruptive, or if it ever left, it would harm EU and Polish economy, and so weaken them militarily. In any event, it seems to me polarization and disruption, preventing smooth running of State, all is in Vladimir's interest.

I can't help but think Vladimir influenced this election as much as he possibly could.

It seems to me staff at ICE have been put in position of treating people inhumanely, and for very long time, and ICE staff deal with this by rationalizing what they do, which means development of culture which despises and hates immigrants, and what happens now is manifestation of that, plus DJT.

Yes. Europe is now shielded by UA. If not for UA war, it seems to be RU would be in the Baltics already. It is shameful and now properly cowardice not to be actually fighting side by side with Ukraine.

I may be wrong, but seems relevant given Donald's two digital currencies, which seem to be being used to transfer wealth to Donald in exchange for favour.

As I do not have so similarly golden a photo, I post now a *contrast*, white sun, black water, taken in Pisa, Italy, 2016-04-06.

*Liz Truss* said this?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was reading thinking okay some lunatic fringe (not wrong in fact) and the MEGA *shit* at the end, and then I came to understand from the thread this was Truss.
She's either an idiot, or she's been bought out, or both.

Jesus. Just read up about CPAC. I'm embarrassed for her, and horrified anyone - let alone a Brit and a senior Cons MP - would have any the fuck thing to do with the foulness at CPAC. She has fallen so very far.

ICE (or maybe DEA? who knows?) shows up again in the same quiet Berkshires town, at a landscaping job site.
This time business owners confronted the agents, demanded they show warrants or IDs. The agents refused.
“I felt like I was in North Korea,” owner says.

Again, no one knows who these people are. No warrants. No IDs. No uniforms. Paramilitaries kidnapping people in broad daylight. There are words to describe this sort of political regime. “Democracy” is not one of them.

Hmm. Xi seems to be becoming more overly supportive of Russia. Why?
comment in response to

It seems to me the question is wrong.
It acts to mask the deeper question, which is : do you want the West to fight with Ukraine against Russia, to save Ukraine from becoming part of Russia, who will in time attack you, and also to prevent enormous human rights abuses on an ongoing basis?

Vladimir : "you must stop letting people join NATO out of fear of being invaded by Russia".

She is actually specifically an example in this 2024 article. It seemed children of US parents born overseas and out of marriage are not given citizenship - there is campaign to change this.
I suspect she was specifically targeted by ICE.

It's not the wealth that matters, it's power that matters, and what you do with it.
The Founders looked to have almost no State at all, because they knew of the abuses of State in the UK. This original vision slowly was lost over the centuries and State is huge, powerful and now, abusive.
comment in response to

It seems to me ICE have a culture of hatred and abuse. To the extent this is true, their actions will specifically be cruel and inhumane, for the sake of being so.

Just like WTF.
If you want a national wealth scheme, there a fucking million better ways to do it, and in any event, this glosses over the fundamental question of *who would pay for this?*
Or it is printed money?
