I love that people are getting these cards printed AND adding extra details that make them even more useful! Thank you @jcatjcat.bsky.social!

Happy International Women's Day to this classic banger

I’m a librarian, so don’t come for me! I could organize my collections but I’ve found joy in not bringing my work home. Other than: Gay Poetry Everything is a free for all. I like the thrill of the hunt!

Let us speak of joy. Tell me about something wonderful that happened to you this week.

I am bad at remembering things that are above and beyond keeping myself alive, which is to say I def can’t keep plants alive. When I worked back home at a university in Appalachia (where I’m from) the library housekeeper, Sara, would regularly take my plant and move it to safety. Anthony = gardener.

Had a bunch of unexpected vet bills recently and could use some extra income. I do presentations (on LIS work incl AI), can write about books (incl YA and SFF/H), and do sensitivity reading (list of topics on my website). Hire me! bookjockeyalex.com/contact/

I can't believe Big Balls, the Douche and Tommy Tuna could make a mistake like this, given their combined year of work experience.

Today, the House GOP censured me for speaking out for the American people against @POTUS’s plan to cut Medicaid. I accept the consequences of my actions, but I refuse to stay silent in the face of injustice. #WeShallOvercome x.com/repalgreen/s...

If someone doesn't hire Carrie ASAP, they're almost as foolish as the people/reason she's back on the job market.

Think we’ve forgotten about the time that Elon was booed so badly by fans of Dave Chapelle (of all people) that he locked himself in his office and Twitter employees considered calling the cops to do a wellness check. What I’m saying is we can go harder.

Let’s go 👏

As a person who is a caretaker to a veteran, devastating is exactly the right word to describe the impact this will have. It took my dad and I a year for him to be able to see a dermatologist (the VA in Maine had none at one time), and even that had to be done through Community Care (outsourced) to,

AARP has created an easy peasy form for contacting government about Social Security. action.aarp.org/secure/tell-...

Keep seeing these think-pieces (headlines only, I’m not engaging) about how there are vast differences in how folks in certain states view LGBTQ+ rights, and all I want to say (even tho I know it’s not helpful) is: I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK OF US, WE EXIST & SO OUR RIGHTS TO EXIST SHOULD ALSO.

YOU CANNOT GRIND THE BONES OF YOUR ENEMIES INTO DUST TOMORROW IF YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR MEDICATIONS.

Sorry for not consulting the community but we thought they wouldn't be on board with our new business model so we didn't. www.researchinformation.info/news/clariva...

This has been one of the toughest starts to a new year that I can ever remember. And that’s not even taking into account politics, which is saying something!

39 and up bluesky - drop a pic with your age. 46 (and in desperate need of a haircut)

We have to say goodbye to our sweet old lady dog Millie this morning. When she came home with us it was supposed to be hospice, she was in rough shape, and was heartbroken from losing her people. She had 5 great years with her friends. She is the Bea Arthur of dogs, sassy as heck, & runs this house!

Maybe the billion dollar campaign by the far right over that same time demonizing us had something to do with it.

**EIGHTY** of you follow this grifter account. Unfollow @altnps.bsky.social already, jeez.

As a scholarly writer, you have to do a lot of work to make your book happen. But what do you want your book to do *for you*? What work do you want it to do in the world when it’s done? If you’re not clear on that yet, come to my free workshop in March! courses.manuscriptworks.com/courses/book...

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F. 18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it. We made this website to tell our story: 18f.org
