It’s odd. My first year here I kept waiting, and waiting for spring. And it arrived and I was like: why is it still cold! But this summer will be my 6th year here and it’s getting slightly easier.

At one point I had everything in nearly LC order, and then I kept moving and dimensions of rooms kept changing, and so I just leaned into hunting for things! And now I kind of like it. Took a long time though!

That’s exactly what happened! It took weeks for her to take action!

Sara ALWAYS moved any green thing I had over to his side of the room. It was pretty hilarious. I have another of her notes saved too, I’ll have to post it some time soon. She used to leave me very poetic notes.

I always thought this note gave off the William Carlos William vibe: I have eaten the plums…

Read the room, Tom. The country is being stripped for parts by criminals, social security and Medicaid are being threatened, and your call: tone police my colleagues.

suddenly, just because he moved to a state with less available care, his needs changed? We finally jumped that hurdle, but if they manage to gut the VA, I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen. States like Maine already face a healthcare shortage for civilians.

and we drive 50 minutes to get there! But the fight that it took to even get access to that care was exhausting. Dad and I each called, showed records from his care back in our home state of VA, and their initial response: no medical need. Previously he had seen a dermatologist twice per year, but,

For the whole of my life I’ve been subjected to think pieces, magazine covers, tv shows, about shifting attitudes, promises of acceptance, moves back towards traditionalism, etc., and quite frankly: I do not care! You desire for me not to exist, and yet, here I am 👋

There are some areas of life where opinions simply do not matter, and in my view, this is one of them. You can take all the polls/surveys that you want — we’re still here. I don’t care about your opinion when it comes to my rights to marry, use the bathroom, get healthcare, etc.

I’m not up for a debate. I’m not okay with continuously reading and hearing about your feelings regarding our existence. We are here, we have always been here. We will continue to be here even if you try to legislate/opine us out of existence.

She’s a good potato. And you’d be happy to know, although not a tiny Chihuahua, she could still pull off that disconcerting Chihuahua vibration (nervous excitement) any time she wanted!

If you have a dog pack, you know what the loss of the leader of that pack is like. This loss is going to rock this little group. She was their glue; their mindful older dog parent, all too willing to snap at them if they got out of line. She will be so missed by her family.
