Gundo, Kovacic and Lewis all on the pitch when it starts to unravel. Again.

Awful from Kovacic, Lewis ball watching but wtf is Ederson doing there!?! 🤯

Looked like he was enduring the effects of an adrenaline dump, content to be on the margins. Did wonder though whether he'd been instructed to pass short to Kovacic and Bernardo. Might explain his caution.

A strong, quick no.6 in before Brentford - even on loan - would make a huge difference.

We've got PSG on the 22nd, Chelsea on the 25th, and then Brugge on the 29th. (Then Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool & Spurs.)
We have to have a couple in and integrated before then if we're serious about finishing the season with any intent.

It also looks like a Y9 CDT project.

Someone needs to lose their job if he's sold for £25m.

Also, that we can't offer academy talent - Lavia, Rogers, Delap, Palmer - a more attractive option beyond 'wait like Phil did' or 'off you go', increasingly looks like the academy is there to generate CFG £££, (that isn't getting spent on the first team).

Great pod, lads. Agree that Pep's thinking is getting very hard to fathom: sticking with his generals because they can be trusted (they can't) & refusing to play the young lads because it's not fair (it isn't), while simultaneously making few tactical adjustments, it getting pretty baffling.

What I find baffling is the lack of variety in terms of getting Haaland any kind of decent opportunities. That we don't him with the long pass more often is nuts.

And could have been a lot worse than 2-1.

There's no way playing a couple of the younger lads makes this any worse.

Our lack of tactical changes while persisting with the same players is bewildering.

What a surprise. Returns from injury then plays 90 mins, six games on the bounce.

Viana must have signed on the dotted by now though, surely.

The Ballard & Bosch stuff is good, isn't it. Reacher in Lee Child's prime edges it for me, but B&B has been a great substitute.

Working my way through the Ballard & Bosch series now. Great bedtime fodder.

The consequence of a dilution in overall quality over the last 3 or 4 seasons. Coupled with a lack of in game leadership from senior players.

The we (City) have failed to recruit appropriate cover for such a pivotal position over the last 2 years is pretty damning.

No more Temu, no more survival games, or American kids fighting outside school. And no Delaney or Ogden.
