If you spent your hard earned savings traveling to DC to attend Trump’s inauguration only to find out that a little cold weather means you won’t be able to go, just take comfort in knowing that his billionaire buddies will be nice and toasty enjoying the proceedings while you drive yourself home.

An executive order cannot supersede a statute. Congress has found ByteDance a danger to national security and SCOTUS has upheld it. Trump’s job as of noon tomorrow is to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.” That means enforcing the ban until ByteDance sells TikTok.

Let’s be clear: the whole thing is a con. TikTok could’ve kept the app rolling on Sunday but by shutting down & mentioning Trump, he gets to be the savior.
