I would love to see them refuse to go back unless they can be guaranteed that they will not be cut. This can be a two way street with some of these positions and any that can enact a quid pro quo but show these morons that playing with fire is a bad idea

maybe when the death rate climbs and life expectancy is closer to 60 than 70 - perhaps they might start to recognize a cause and effect relationship (maybe not though, they already have one of the shortest life expectancies - if not the lowest)

I remember reading that the man that invented the machine gun had a statue enacted for him near his home in Russia and when he was interviewed years later he said that he wished he had invented something else like a lawn mower. Something that would be useful to people and not be used for war.

One of the most important things is that people have no idea how to read and understand the statistics that are used (or not used) when providing proof to back up an assertion (especially in the field of medicine and medical care). They have no idea how to distinguish truth from fiction.

Well you know, only a million Americans perished from COVID. The US was the only developed country to lose anywhere near this number - but clearly there is no need to be prepared for the next devastating infectious disease.
