I loved that hartel turned on the jets and even though the defender had a couple steps on him he still got the space to get the shot off

I'll take it!

Yeah, we don't score that second goal without the hold up play and moves by Klauss.

We had a couple passes just into space where no one was but that one was realllllllly bad.

If it looks this bad for their home opener I can only imagine how it's gonna look later in the season.

One question I had was if we change our roster model at mid season, do we have to give back the GAM?

I was wondering the same thing. Sounds like a good flyover footy discussion for tonight!

Yeah, I thought the whole point was those guys are good with ball at their feet making playing out of the back much smoother.

I wonder if we get to a point with Baumgartl, Nilsson, and Kessler all on the field at the same time if we will see more balance. I hope so.

I thought Horn did a good job at winger on Saturday so that gives us another option I'm not sure a lot of us considered.

My guess is that Opoku is just one name on Lutz's list but I also doubt business gets done before the next window.

That tells me Nilsson was really just precautionary. Like if it was a playoff game he would have been in there but no sense in pushing it game 1.

Great point. Not letting the turnovers beat us could be a big factor this year

Agreed. The only thing I would say is that we still had some poor turnovers in our final third and Colorado just couldn't capitalize.

I hope our subs aren't just dependent on whether a player looks winded this season. Small sample size obviously plus the cold but with a win in sight against a team playing for a draw and I would have hoped for more aggressiveness.

Yeah, I don't want to take anything away from our backline but it also felt like Colorado was playing for the draw.

My rep told me they are still hoping to get them in before the game. Sounds like the weather caused some delays. No mention of any kind of make good.

Painful to hear for sure. Hopefully he's happy again reuniting with Carnell.

I'm gonna miss Saucy Porka. 😞

I liked what I saw early but once the pressure got more intense we fell off. Feels like that was the issue against RSL too (and honestly last year). We just have a hard time consistently keeping possession unless given space by the other team.

Do you think we see a best 11 at the start today (ignoring injuries) trying to build some chemistry?

I'm wondering when #allforcity is gonna get in the mix

Thanks for that context Matt cause that second half made it a little tough to see the vision.

I still believe that was a terrible call...

I have no ability to objectively analyze these things. All I can say is that my eyes do not appreciate looking at this. Definitely a subjective opinion though.
