Is it retaliation for being disappointed? I have listened to these ppl for years as well & I’ve seen a lot of changes over the years, especially in Joe. A lot of big names here started promoting canceling them immediately. I’d like to know more before I decide to advise other people to cancel them.

I read a bunch of Baldwin’s work in college, but I don’t recall this essay, specifically.
His brutal honesty shocks w/o offending. And you’re right, he effectively & beautifully tied it all together in the end. Perhaps to acknowledge his taking such a unique, and I imagine unpopular, perspective.

People are still getting their head around this. I suppose we all are. I don’t know if Joe & Mika got what they expected, or if they thought through the consequences of meeting with Trump. Maybe it’ll bear fruit.
