Important economics reminder for all: these tariffs are a tax on US companies paid to the US gov’t. Companies have bottom lines. They’re not going to lose that much margin, especially with shareholders, employees, etc. So that tariff cost is passed onto us: the consumer. Things get more expensive.

I’ve visited Auschwitz twice. Truly harrowing. My main feeling was disbelief. Not so much disbelief that I didn’t believe it, but that I could never understand why/how humans can do that to each other. There was probably disbelief at the time. As there is now.
