Thank you! 😆 They are growing warily resigned to my shenanigans. I think they were more unsettled by my decision to wear contacts earlier today.

His love language is biting you while purring at an obnoxiously loud volume, but I can confirm it is worth it

Look, where else do you want me to put all this nonsense that keeps inexplicably showing up in my camera roll?

True :/ But I loved the basic premise!

I appreciated this about Big Jack Horner. He didn’t have or need a tragic backstory—he just sucked.

Anyway, that made me happy because I like seeing cool birds and because it also got me thinking about one of my favorite scenarios, which is dinosaurs making stupid noises and doing stupid dances like modern birds

Ooh, this sounds so good! I always thought Weigall was a fascinating character, I’m looking forward to reading your take on him ❤️

Thank you! 😄 I'm chipping away at it, hoping very much that I can have it fully drafted in the next couple months (and that my publisher will dig it as much as I do...)

Thank you! 😄 Agnes was a secondary character with what started as a walk-on role in my previous book, but she literally kicked the door in and took on a life of her own. I'm having a great time writing her as a POV character!

Yeah, I'm not sure if there was a functional difference between sunglasses and the tinted glasses that blind people wore at that time. My cursory attempt at Googling it isn't turning up much, but now I'm curious!

Ah, the book I’m currently writing has an aroace MC! I wish I had something finished to share. (She’s in the previous book as a secondary character, but the fact that she’s aro never comes up in that one.)

These are Dashiel (the tall, mustachioed one) and Hermann (the short one), the main characters of The Shabti. They’re in their late 40s/early 50s. Dash is a cynical semi-reformed con artist, Hermann is a nerdy cinnamon roll Egyptology professor.
