So in short, don't fix what's not broken. What works for me is making the meal when I am in the mood to chop, prep, etc. Put aside any leftovers I know I can't or won't eat before the food goes bad. I simply don't have the stamina to plan a week of meals, cook them, and then portion and freeze.

*I will say my kind of meal prepping, that works, is making a meal (and I was used to making food and leftovers for 3) and freezing what I knew I wouldn't eat before the food went bad. This time is cooking all the things in 1/2 days. That is what's not working.

I can confirm they are delish, and 90 were made. Lmao

:reads your reply: o_0 Like I said, there are always levels. Fatphobia is at least 4, no matter how it presents, and misogyny holds at least 3.

It's so many layers to it all, and it all depends on where you enter. So complicated, but I think I am healing, despite it all.

The creepy park ranger is really what pushed me over the edge.

Lmao not a gazelle.

Oh, well. I give it a month.

The problem is I don't know what I did to make it grow. Let's see how long it can stay alive.

Oh. You might be right about the cucumber. I think I threw some in there. And it does look like it wants to climb.

I'm a brokie. Processed foods have been key for me. Canned and frozen vegs or fruits are much more sustainable than fresh. And you will have to pry canned tuna from my cold, dead hands. Clearly, I am a fan of do what's sustainable.

I had a mini breakdown when I realized I had to take so many more steps to do an average person's mile. Oh, to be a hobbit.

Yes. I think it really took off when Doc Oz platformed it.

When I started, due to mobility issues, someone 50+ could smoke me in a snail race.

I find that wild. 3k is a ~1 mile. Someone who walks a mile a day is sedentary. Lmao

I prefer walking to cardio or strength training. So...kind of counts as pleasure. Lol

Yup! The studies followed after in the capitalist way.

No. That's valid and kind of the point. 10k is not necessary for either loss or health maintenance.

This rant brought to you bc yesterday I did a circuit around the nearest park, and it wasn't even a mile. And I got dirt and stickers in my shoes. And a creepy park ranger tried to flirt with me. For nothing. Nothing. Sticking to paved roads and fewer steps.

At least one study showed the peak around 8k for weight loss, and that was once a week. Lol So 4k, 2k, etc. daily is likely more than enough to be considered active, basically heart health benefits.

I agree. 5k, for me, seems to be where I start to drop inches and tone up. 4k definitely feels like stay in shape, not get winded or tired if out and about.

It is enlightening and embarrassing how simple it can be.

As a Black girl, who was rubbed down with Vaseline often, this feels so validating to the ancestors. Lol

I would have to get up to see the one I use, but I am going to guess using a simple cleanser, period, is so much better than using an acne anything. My face absolutely reacts. But just water? Face has never looked better. Skin supple, glowing. Water. Just water.
comment in response to post
As in, using any kind of acne cleanser makes my skin worse. Water, washcloth, and :maybe: a cleanser when extra oily. That's it. I am god's favorite and didn't know. Thank you to that person. You were right.

I always rinse my beans and rice. Insects, dirt, pebbles, etc., seem to love both.

There are quite a few delicious looking recipes with lentils and rice in a rice cooker.
