I finished Chen Duling's new drama "The Glory" and this is 100% a show where the male lead is just there as an accessory. He's plot-relevant, BARELY. The main villain is also just a plot device because the real villain here is patriarchy and the way society seeks to divide women from each other.

I met Lynx in Sept 2015 at PAWS Chicago, in a large room filled with cats. I was sitting on the floor, trying to attract the attention of a laidback black tomcat, when a petite green-eyed tabby sauntered up, hissed him away, and installed herself in my lap. She licked my knee. I was hers.

Our brave, beautiful Lynx passed peacefully in our arms this morning, comfortable and warm on her favourite sheepskin. On our way to the vet there was a beautiful sunrise and a rainbow to greet her on her last morning. Thank you everyone for your love and support. This has been excruciating.

Our beloved Lynx will be seeing all her specialists today and getting ultrasounds that will hopefully give us the answers we need to treat her. Full recovery is unlikely but a few more months would still be infinitely precious. It’s hard to see her like this. We miss her at home terribly.

Every time we medicate the cat (0/10 do not recommend unless absolutely necessary) she will hide, but then if we don’t go after her and apologize profusely she will come out just so she can sit with her back to us and make it clear that she’s mad and shunning us 😔

Watched #wheeloftime S3E1 and I’m marvelling at how many incredible female characters im seeing on screen at any given time. The women on this show are allowed the sort of range in terms of age, body type, personality, and physical appearance that are usually only given to male characters.
