I get annual training on proper typing posture and see five posters a day on ergonomics and desk stretches, but I don't get any materials on writing things by hand.
These are lost skills, but they're fairly critical if you're writing more than the occasional note. Ask my carpal tunnel and neck pain.

I got frustrated enough with my engineer chicken scratch and physical fatigue to reteach myself cursive half a decade after I got my degree, because I was taking survey notes in environments that didn't permit typing.
I had to start from scratch on every movement, because I was never really taught.

So is this actually being paired with handwriting instruction, or
There's a mention in there of surprisingly good handwriting from some students, but what's the median? Are schools offering any electives or support programs for students who didn't get good instruction on the physical act of writing?

Much more consistent and mechanically fluid, just unfamiliar to those used to print or digital text.
Had to teach myself proper technique to avoid mechanical fatigue from decades old business primers.
Will be fun to see if cursive is back on the curriculum when my kid hits that age.

Split the difference?
An hour long video with marked chapters, but then see if there are any parts you can pull out as mini primers to post separately?
3-5 minute clip videos are better for sharing on other sites, and they can be a way of getting people to watch the longer video.

"In two thousand and one you reposted"
Sad enough to be going "you agreed with someone disagreeing with me four years ago" let alone two decades ago.

If they have more precise bounding, the target zone is included in the message and then on-device location checking determines whether to display.
Like. They're absolutely still slurping as much location data as they can.
They just don't need to collect it to pull this trick in particular.

To be fair to the surveillance apparatus, this is one thing they don't necessarily need to track you for.
Amber alerts and such usually get sent out to any device that connects to towers in the target area.

Lights automatically turned off at 5p. When daylight dimmed, people — including children who were separated from their parents — made do in darkness overnight. Agents used flashlights. This space is not to detain people on any capacity (lights turn off because no one is supposed to be there).

Every one of these is more important than the mental acuity of the former President. We are in trouble. Focus.

The family is definitely paying for this. Her mother has set up a gofundme.
Extra notes: Adriana is black, and had visited the hospital for headaches. They sent her home with medication, then her boyfriend woke up to her gasping for air and called 911.

Current reporting doesn't verify who's paying for months of hospital care here, but strongly implies the family is being held responsible.
What a horror. Three months so far of grieving and financial burden, another three or so to go, and no certainty at the end either.
But no choice.

I'm kind of disappointed in Propublica's framing here.
As they note, the tip-line message had two tipline emails.
Nobody snitched to the EPA address, sure, but they didn't get an FOIA response on the OPM address.
The OPM address would be the DOGE server. Any actual snitches would have used that one

NPR, giving credit where due:
Medicare began negotiating drug prices for the first time during the Biden administration in 2024, under new authority granted by the Inflation Reduction Act. The new lower Medicare prices for the first 10 drugs won't go into effect until January 2026[...]

Risch: Enforcement mechanism? The DoJ will file class-action suits. Prices will be lower by next year, you've got to give credit where due.

The truly infuriating thing here is that we might actually see some price reductions in the next 4 years. From Medicare price negotiations from the Inflation Reduction Act.
The prices for the first 10 drugs negotiated under Biden don't take effect until 2026, just in time for Trump to take credit.

This year is full of fine men in finer suits. This is the first I've seen of Mclaughlin, which is an incredible shame. Good pick.
