There's never enough time to watch, read, listen to, and play all the media I want to. I'm one of the Muppet nerds from @toughpigs.com (he/him)

Rest in peace, Gene Hackman. The Conversation is one of my favorite movies, and he's excellent in it.

One of the most obscure pop culture things I quote regularly is from the original Nutty Professor, when Buddy Love is aggressively instructing a bartender how to do his job, right down to inflection. "What'll it beeeee, mmmmm?"

And now, the exciting conclusion of my detailed look at the Muppets' failed presence on the first season of Saturday Night Live! It includes Raquel Welch, Anthony Perkins, and a roomful of people pretending they have antlers!

Cast members inexplicably missing from the SNL 50th special, according to Facebook commenters: Dan Ackroyd Dan Acroyd Dan Avkrod Dan Arkroyd Dan Akroid Mr. Bill

I watched every episode of the first season of SNL and took note of how the show evolved while the Muppet sketches floundered. And I wrote this!

Don't post AI slop. And if you repost by mistake, as I've done, delete it. When you have something to say and attach AI art, you're undercutting your message and hurting artists. Pay or barter for art. There's a reason good things cost money and take time. AI art is harmful and it looks like ass.

The SNL 50th anniversary special was frequently good and sometimes very bad. Just like the entire history of the show! (Also, I wish they had featured cast members from before the late nineties a little more, but maybe they're too old and tired.)

Carrying out a transaction with the drive-thru person, but really I want to stop and sing along with "Sh-Boom" by The Chords on the radio.

Happy Valentine's Day to all you Galley-oh-hoop-hoopers out there!

I've started reading some Fantastic Four issues that I've never read before (thanks, Hoopla and my library!). I started with Mark Millar's run, which is pretty good! It opens with the Richards family and the Thing crashing into the present from the past on their time sled, which is exactly the kind

A true visionary.

To my surprise, The Brutalist is actually playing at the movie theater closest to me. Normally I like catching up on Oscar nominees, and normally long run times don't scare me off... but 3 hours 35 minutes is pretty intimidating.

You should read this! I follow a blog called The Soda Fountain, which is all about soda. In today's post, writer Emma Baccellieri uncovers the truth behind an old "fun fact" about 7Up that turns out not to be a fact at all.

THE MUPPET SCRIPT - a star-studded livestream event to benefit California wildfire relief - will be held this weekend. Listen as we chat with Producer/Director (and old ToughPigs writer) Matt Wilkie to see how this whole thing is coming together. www.toughpigs.com/podcast-mupp...

The first issue of a new Jim Henson Company comic book series is out now! Here's our review of the issue, which includes stories from Fraggle Rock, Farscape, and The Dark Crystal!

The Fantastic Four have always been my favorite comic book characters. I've never seen Rise of the Silver Surfer or 2015's "Fant4stic" because I didn't want to see my favorites get screwed up.

The new Fantastic Four movie looks great.

Everything is terrible, but I just found my keys after a frustrating two-hour search, so there's that.

THE MUPPET SCRIPT - a live, celebrity-filled script reading to benefit those affected by the California wildfires - will be held on Feb. 9, and YOU can watch from the comfort of your own home! Lots more details about the show coming soon, so stay tuned! www.squadup.com/hosts/740859...

Remember the Gorilla Channel tweet? Remember how a ton of people thought it was true because everyone knew he was very, very stupid? Remember how he's gone through significant cognitive decline since then? Sigh.

In the thirteenth episode of the first season of SNL, there's a guest act called The Shapiro Sisters. They're three young girls who lip-sync and dance to "This Will Be" by Natalie Cole. And that's it. The SNL wiki says their dad was director Ken Shapiro, who worked with Chevy Chase. Did this

There was a snake who tried to eat a baby, and came pretty close, but a band of people worked together to pull the baby away from the snake. Then another band of people said "Let's give the snake another chance with the baby!" And they stuck the baby back in the snake's mouth.

When I'm at a wedding and the dancing starts, that's when I feel more than ever like an alien. "What is this strange Earth ritual? Why are these humans moving like that? I do not understand."

I never used TikTok, but I live with someone who did, and I don't think it could become a habit for me personally, if only because I would be so annoyed by hearing the same musical clips and the same awful robot voices all the time. And that wheezy laugh. (Yeah, I know it's coming back soon. Sigh.)

Are you wondering what to do with your time now that TikTok is suspended? You should read this book!
