So many of them feel like they're specifically fishing for a follow back, and without fail they're open for commissions, or a dubiously real pride/gaza cause. I hate that I'm immediately distrustful of those accounts now because of people like that.

It's very important for them to not be mandatory, or possibly even encouraged. While at a former workplace that started heavily encouraging people to add them, it was not a fun position to be in as someone who was exploring their trans identity but wasn't comfortable being out about that at work.

Pronouns in email sigs were wildly helpful to me as an executive assistant who had to cold email people all over the world I never met/spoke to. I don't know the traditional gender associations for every name on earth.
