In preparation for next week’s parade/demonstration, tanks are being moved into Washington, DC today. Unprecedented. (Photo from a colleague in DC)

The one and only @humantransit.bsky.social making the case for why buses deserve more street space in cities ❤️🚍 www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/arti...

Today FCM presented a report to Metro Vancouver on total replacement cost for all (Canada wide) municipally owned "core infrastructure". Take from this what you will, but what jumps out to me is how much roads cost. They account for 33% of all municipal infra.

I'm proud to report that my amendment to the Granville Street Plan has passed - directing staff to explore substantial road safety and accessibility improvements, including benches, bollards, bus bulbs and a bike parkade. A good day for safer streets for all!

former Burnaby Now, New West Record and Tri-City News reporters announcing a campaign to launch a cooperatively owned and run publication covering the communities that have lost their local news publications

THANK GOD. Wonder what their thoughts are on Grok AI

Wooo went to my first Critical Mass tonight!! So fun!

"We're going to cut your taxes" is such a big green shiny button for governments to push. But I haven't set aside a separate account for building my own SkyTrain expansion. Have any of you?

The Granville St Pedestrianization Plan, in typical City of Vancouver fashion, will "pilot" things for up to *10 years* while they decide whether or not to do it permanently. Full-time bus priority lanes on Howe and Seymour are in their "20 Year" plan 🙄 permanent bus moves are 11-20 years away

Wow Water Street is so much better this year, look at all these drivers that are *definitely* here to shop and eat locally and not just looking for a shortcut through traffic

More transit priority in #NewWest !!! 🚍❤️ Giving the 106 a little love 🥰 @movementyvr.bsky.social

Bus lanes are GREAT for getting you places quickly, like getting to urbanist book club early so you can cram in some reading you didn't finish 🚍📚

Cheers to the Grok AI-fueled bloggers who interrogated and photographed me from all angles after I chose to sit with them at the New West Council media table, which would otherwise be dead empty Have I said I miss The Record? 😢 I also forgot to post this photo to start my live thread, so here:
