My take. Trump is Jack Torrence. We're Wendy and Danny. The country is the Overlook. Trump is a vehicle of the patriarchy. An evil and depraved man, glad handed and back slapped for that reason. You've committed violent crimes against people you're supposed to protect? No worries, you're in charge!
