"Put the centrists in control" as if the centrists haven't been in control of the democratic party the entire time I've been alive. They just want to keep doing centrism but without even Biden/Harris' half-hearted defense of trans people

For sure, there's a lot of jargon and it gets confusing! "Free climb" just means using ropes & gear for protection but not upward movement (that would be aid climbing).
If you haven't yet, check out Dawn Wall and Tommy Caldwell's story in general, dude is an inspiration.

Lynn Hill is the GOAT but she free climbed the nose, not free solo-ed. She had a belay partner and a rope. To this day no one has free soloed the nose because even Honnold doesn't have that much of a death wish (and he can't even free it on a rope)

Absolutely. It's important for millenial leftist men to make some gen z younger bro friendships and be a good example to them. You can be fit and successful in career and dating etc etc, all that stuff they eroneously look to a Tate for, while respecting women, being an ally to LGBTQ+ and poc etc

Upper body strength is only critical for aggressively overhung routes, leg strength, balance, and flexibility are all more important for most styles of climbing

I was in college at the absolute peak of Social Justice Culture and the message was always "It's important to be a decent person and treat others with respect". "You're inherently bad for being a man" is only what you hear if you're heavily invested in NOT treating others with respect

Nah, a lot of those guys rejected Christianity and then "independently" reproduced its worst expressions of misogyny and anti-trans ideology

basically i think Turning On the Computer should be a more symbolically powerful process to reflect what's going on. pressing a little piece of plastic that glows blue doesn't cut it. at bare minimum it should look like this
