But do you have the Sawzall?

Apparently my husband JUST had this conversation with his parents where we learned that his brother has decided our nephew, his son, needs to "help with the house finances", which would make a little sense if the kid wasn't 16. I have a horrible sinking feeling about this if the war drags on.

It does have a certain “People’s Free Republic of Democracy” kind of ring to it.

Sounds like a solid working thesis to me. I don’t think we’d ever get to study or fix it in my lifetime but. Solid thesis.

Other things to practice: standing on one foot and getting up off the floor, preferably without using your hands but you can build up to that. Especially the getting up off the floor part.

Americans (human beings in general I think but my god Americans are extra obnoxious) are constitutionally allergic to saying “I don’t know” or “I was wrong.”

That’s a little more what I’d expected. I mean most jobs, government or no, don’t pay great city wages but that sounds more in line from what I know of current federal jobs in other areas.

Okay that is more what I’d expect. (But also: no first or second hand experience with federal law enforcement. State, DOD, Revenue, and others yes. LEO/Feds no.)
comment in response to post
That’s … really low for a federal job start level. Well, maybe not for law enforcement federal, I’ve no experience with that area.

Oh Lordy I can only imagine. I think I’ve only been yelling at Tillis for half that long.

Literally in fact called my senator late last night to tell them to “impeach that asshole” and say “what the fuck” at least three times.

Also, for my Gen Z friends, this is worth reading tonight. Since we're seeing the same playbook being used again.

I have many words but few that are fit for polite company or that I would want read back to me in court.

A song from the second Iraq war: youtu.be/cfmQMRnjUEc?...

Someone had better be doing something because this is some bullshit no one outside of that pack of fucking cultists asked for.

I did just call my senator who’s up for reelection next year and yell “what the FUCK” a lot, that ought to be good for a tiny poo.

This war, whether it be full on war or a couple weeks of horrifying bombing runs, is deeply unpopular in the US. It might be unpopular with the military; certainly Captain Bonespurs is. And maybe it will collapse under the weight of everyone who turns and glares and goes “EXCUSE THE FUCK OUTTA YOU?”

Yeah my sister lives right smack in the middle of the capital city I don’t have to IDK anything. The only thing I don’t know is the blast radius and how many aunts and uncles and Mom it’d take out too.

I adore you 😂

Fair point, I’m no longer living in a giant fucking target zone. Unfortunately some of my family IS so this is fun.
